Scoring a #1 hit single and a #1 hit album in the USA is quiet a feat already. Earning double digit figures in both metrics (10+ #1 hit singles AND 10+ #1 hit albums), as far as for female solo artists, was never accomplished. But we are getting closer.
Who will do it first?
Madonna: She has already crossed 10 hit #1 singles, she has 12 to be exact and with 9 #1 hit albums she is the closest to archive this. But if you want to bet on her, new Billboard rules disallow ticket and merchandise bundles.
Beyonce: Beyonce released 6 studio albums and all went #1. She will most likely continue to hit #1 with every solo album she puts out. With 7 number one hit singles in the bag, it should be noted that Beyonce may has a #1 hit up in her sleeves as well as the business person she is, could jump on hits as a featured artist, she has all the industry connections.
Ariana Grande: Ariana scored 5 #1 albums by releasing 6. At first, however, she never found a formula to secure the top slot on the hot100. Things changed, just in 2020 she had three #1‘s and her total now is at 5. Olivia’s surprising success just blocked her. As the streaming queen with releasing music in quick succession, she could score hits even quicker than one may thinks.
Taylor Swift: Taylor is known for her slbum success. When she releases, there is never a question if she misses the #1 spot. She has 8 #1’s and even her rerelease of her first album could hit the top slot. This said, she struggled a little bit in the singles department. If it wasn‘t for OTR, she would be at 9. This said, Taylor has shown she is competitive at least in the first week of a single release. And it is not unrealistic that she writes a #1 hit for a big movie one day.

She’s doing it first hands down.
Her next studio album is going to be her *first* after her return to her home label WARNER…
The new billboard rules aren’t going to be a factor lol.
Warner is definitely getting it to #1. FOR SURE.
If not then…
Option 2:
She’ll definitely be releasing an album once her biopic drops (ala Elton John, Queen, etc.)
…. and with all that press and promo, along the movie it’s definitely going #1
If Madonna is GOOD at something, it’s definitely promoting/making noise… that’s her sh*t.
That movie is definitely making noise.
For short…. All Madonna needs is a #1 album lol.

ReplyCopy URLFebruary 7, 2021 at 4:50 pm #1204029262can see an argument for all except beyoncé, ariana is possibly in 3rd because despite her pushing out music quickly she has a lot of ground to make up with albums
ReplyCopy URLFebruary 7, 2021 at 5:22 pm #1204029317@Berni because Olivia is the reason the tracking week in question wasn‘t an uneventful one. The plan surely was to score a #1 over the older tracks Mood/Blinding Lights.
ReplyCopy URLFebruary 7, 2021 at 6:52 pm #1204029507Taylor might be the closest. She only need two albums and with rerecordings and TS10 coming, this will be easily achieved.
Single-wise, we need to see how the re-recordings performs. I can see You Belong With Me, Love Story reimagined version go #1

us swiftie’s are crazy and dedicated. You can bet your ass that we will spend our savings and stimulus money to get: Love Story, YBWM, Mine, IKYWT, And style to a fraudulent #1.

Lol no. Be real. 10 year old song is not going #1.
ReplyCopy URLFebruary 7, 2021 at 7:20 pm #1204029574Seriously … her old songs won’t even get top 50 esp if they’re all released together and that’s okay because that’s not really the point of the re-recordings.
If swiffers really wanna do smth then let’s take debut to #1 so that all her albums are #1. That’s more probable esp if she pushes out signed CD’s and vinyls of her old stuff.
ReplyCopy URLFebruary 7, 2021 at 7:36 pm #1204029610I feel like the re recordings might even hurt some of her albums. Like for eg 1989 is still charting but when re records come out,the streams will get divided and neither versions will manage to chart.(in the long run)
But I do think with proper promo, she can get #1s(fraudulant tho) with songs like Ikywt, style, love story
