I do wonder if the panel will boot Chance The Rapper out now. The fan reaction is very lukewarm, and the critical response isn’t as strong as Coloring Book.

My guess is he misses album for smaller acts but gets into 1 or 2 other categories, my guess would be the 2 performance categories.

The reviews for the new Chance the Rapper project weren’t stellar, BUT… he could secure a nomination based on residual love from Coloring Book

Chance will be lucky to make even one category. And J. Cole might get his first Grammy.

I never would have imagined typing these words even a few weeks ago, but Chance is not safe in Rap Album following the public’s reception to The Big Day.

Meek and Tyler are definitely in, Savage is likely, Megan seems like the obvious diversity option, and the last spot is pretty up for grabs. NF could even be a factor.

A few weeks ago I predicted that Chance’s album wouldn’t do well commercially or with critics. Even with that coming true, I think he’s guaranteed in Best Rap Album, unless the panel removes him.

    J. Cole might get snubbed … again.

Did he even release an album? Or was “Middle Child” a one off single ?

“you look like your picture, thank god.”

“Middle Child” is featured on the compilation album, Revenge of the Dreamers III.

We might have to add Ransom and Hot Girl Summer here. The latter is #1 on Apple Music.

I just swapped Big Ol Freak for Hot Girl Summer in my rap/sung prediction.

    In order of likeliness;

    Best Rap Album
    1. IGOR – Tyler, The Creator
    2. Championships – Meek Mill
    3. Fever – Megan Thee Stallion
    4. i am > i was – 21 Savage
    5. So Much Fun – Young Thug
    (6. The Big Day – Chance The Rapper)

    7. CrasH Talk – ScHoolboy Q
    8. Revenge of the Dreamers III – Dreamville & J. Cole
    9. Baby on Baby – DaBaby
    10. Rap or Go to the League – 2 Chainz

Never thought I’d say these words but I can totally see Chance being completely shut out.
