r&b field isn’t looking too packed so far… here’s a few albums i know of that have come out / are coming this tracking period, please add on since i’m definitely forgetting quite a few!

    In Pieces – Chlöe
Red Moon In Venus – Kali Uchis
    Love Sick – Don Toliver
    Raven – Kelela

Babyface’s Girls Night Out, Daniel Caesar’s NEVER ENOUGH and Masego’s self-titled could also show up.

I don’t really think Chlöe is getting any nominations. Also, Raven and Red Moon In Venus are great, but I think they can end up being snubbed from the Progressive R&B category.

Dinner Party (Kamasi Washington, Robert Glasper, Terrace Martin, and 9th Wonder) has released a collaboration with Ant Clemons (which we should already consider a contender for Best R&B Performance) that may lead to their first LP.

Would love to see Tamar get nominated this year. Her new single Changed is great. Still can’t believe they robbed her of at least one award in 2014.

Tamar suffers from Nicki Minaj syndrome. Talented artist, unlikable personality. I could see voters being turned off by her over the top reality show persona. “Love & War” definitely should’ve won a Grammy.

Ari Lennox – Waste My Time
Kamasi Washington, Robert Glasper, Terrace Martin, Ant Clemons – Insane
    FLO – Feature Me
Kali Uchis f/ Summer Walker – Deserve Me

    Traditional R&B performance:

    Usher – GLU
    Coco Jones – ICU
    Leon Thomas – Breaking Point
Daniel Caesar – Let Me Go
    Tamar Braxton – Changed

    Progressive R&B Album:

    Kelela – Raven
    SZA – SOS

Well, most of the track is sung by The Weeknd and there’s just a tiny little rap verse on the end of it. It’s an R&B song, IMO, but I could be wrong… Also, I see Metro being nominated with other songs on the Rap Field. He’s a lock in Best Rap Album, as of right now.

Hmm makes sense but I think the screening committee would move it to Best Melodic Rap Performance.

You’re not wrong. Metro’s label might spread the wealth in different genres. Doesn’t he also have a song w/ Chris Brown that did moderately well?

Yes! Superhero (Heroes & Villains) feat. Future & Chris Brown has been charting on the BB Hot 100 for 15 weeks. It went 8° when Metro released the record.

Hmm yes you are right. Maybe he could submit this way:

    Creepin’
    Record Of The Year
    Song Of The Year
    Best R&B Performance
    Best R&B Song
    Best Music Video

    Superhero (Heroes & Villains)
    Best Melodic Rap Performance
    Best Rap Song

    Trance
    Best Rap Performance

    Heroes & Villains
    Album Of The Year
    Best Rap Album
    Best Music Film

Also, why is everyone so confident about SZA submitting Kill Bill to Pop? If Cuff It won R&B Song then Kill Bill could be considered enough R&B too. It could have more chance of winning in R&B than in Pop and SZA’s team obviously knows it. She could go with:

    Kill Bill
    Record Of The Year
    Song Of The Year
    Best R&B Performance
    Best R&B Song
    Best Music Video

    Nobody Gets Me
    Best Pop Solo Performance

    Snooze
    Best Traditional R&B Performance

    Low
    Best Melodic Rap Performance
    Best Rap Song

    SOS
    Album Of The Year
    Best Progressive R&B Album

Yesss! That’s what I thought. He could also submit Around Me/All The Money for Best Rap Song due to alphabetical priviledge, maybe.
