I like how everyone said that Best Part is H.E.R.’s song when in reality its Daniel Caesar’s song. H.E.R. is just the featured artist on the song.
That’s how it’s credited at the Grammys, and “Best Part” is on both albums. They both have equal parts.January 28, 2019 at 2:58 pm #1202753213
I think everyone except The Carters have a chance at winning this.January 28, 2019 at 3:52 pm #1202753255
What do y’all think about Long As I Live? Toni got 3 R&B noms, and I feel like they pick older artists rather than new ones recently.January 28, 2019 at 7:16 pm #1202753508
Honey, Toni Braxton and Lalah Hathaway are being severely underestimated here for obvious reasons.January 31, 2019 at 4:30 pm #1202757248
Best Part will win. That “leak” about Summer winning wasn’t laughable but it isn’t happening. Best Part charted higher, streamed more, on the radio and H.E.R got the rest of noms to back her up. Summer has an audio on YouTube that’s not even by The Carters’ official YouTube accounts.February 9, 2019 at 10:22 pm #1202766897
Will Win: Toni Braxton
Should Win: H.E.R. / Daniel Caesar
Whenever Toni gets in Album, she wins a Grammy 😉February 10, 2019 at 10:46 pm #1202771514
The best song/performance won. It was by far the frontrunner.
Toni was never winning. This is not 1996.February 10, 2019 at 10:51 pm #1202771520
Toni won a Grammy this decade. And as long time watchers, we know voters like to reward veterans. Especially in the R&B Field.
Either way, H.E.R. deserved her wins.
I doubt 7x Grammy award winning LEGEND Toni Braxton is bothered. Especially since she actually she won BNA 😉February 10, 2019 at 11:02 pm #1202771533
The voters tend to go with quality here more than anything else. That’s why Solange won here, despite not being a huge Grammy favorite. Glad the Grammys rewarded H.E.R. based on quality. Out with the old, in with the new.February 10, 2019 at 11:07 pm #1202771538
Solange + quality should not be in the same sentence.
That poser got acclaim off the back of Lemonade and the Black Lives Matter movement.
Let’s see her thrive in a H.E.R., Ella Mai, and SZA world 😉
Matter of fact, let’s see all of those girls maintain longevity & impact like the icon Miss Toni Braxton :OFebruary 10, 2019 at 11:29 pm #1202771549
Toni didn’t maintain anything. She had two excellent eras, went bankrupt, came back with a decent era, went bankrupt again and has been a reality TV flop ever since. Love her, but those are the facts.February 10, 2019 at 11:57 pm #1202771559
Toni Braxton has one of the biggest selling and longest running #1 songs of all-time. She’s won multiple GRAMMYs in the General Field, Pop, & R&B fields. And is highly respected for her TALENT.
Can HOElonge say the same? Nope! She’s the Great Value version of Erykah Badu ;).
Just a non-singing hack, with a manufactured image, who exploited a real cause to gain traction for her crappy music. But Congrats! :claps: yay!
