The weirdest thing is where a lot of the nominees ended up,

Muse ends up in Metal Performance but nowhere else?

Ghost ends up in Metal Performance but nowhere else?

RHCP ends up in Rock Song but nowhere else?

Turnstile has the same song nominated in Rock Song and Metal Performance?

Ozzy Osbourne gets nominated in every category?

7 nominees in Rock Song

6 nominees in Rock Album, I mean WTF is going on.

Thing is I got lucky in Rock Album, I put The Black Keys in as a last minute replacement for The War On Drugs, I would have got 0 if I had hadn’t changed last minute.

quite surprisingly Turnstile or Bryan Adams got into Rock Perf over RHCP.
i agree with the other observations you had.
alternative field has the best lineups. pity Florence didn’t make it into Album, but this lineup is flawless.
