Ruben’s new album drops in March of 2012. First single is a cover of the Bobby Brown classic “Rock Witcha.”

Just heard the single on urbanbridgez.com and I think we have our first contender for the Charlie Wilson slot for R&B Performance for the 2013 Grammys.

I have to agree with Tae04.  Ruben Studdard is so 2003.

They must have scrapped “Rock Whitcha” as the first single thank goodness.

I am shocked that he still has a record deal and people still care. Wow

Couldn’t care less about that song. Well, maybe if June 28th wasn’t my birthday.

I’m amazed at how shortlived these talent show alumni’s popularity is. It’s like it’s way better to find other ways of starting a music career than going on American Idol and XFactor because eventually the relevance dies down.

When was the last time anyone cared about Ruben?

Oh come onnnnn give Ruben a chance!

The jury is out on XFactor. Hopefully their contestants will do well and have some longevity.

The Voice needs to step it up! Both the winner and runner up received very little to no promo when their albums released.

Scotty help bring some credibilty back to American Idol winners with his latest release. Their latest winners had been tanking on the charts.

I’m not just talking about U.S. XFactor. Remember how big Leona Lewis was. Now she has faded in popularity.

And c’mon. We all know Melanie Amaru (or whatever her name is) won’t make it far. Even her winning song tanked on iTunes.

Melanie’s winning song if thats what they are calling it is not something people would rush to download. Great performance but not soemthing people would want to hear on the radio  or kick back and grove to. Plus with the acception of Adele and a few others many download songs are not that great ( I would say something else ) I mean Javier and Dia from the voice got decent downloads but their albums tanked in comparison. I hate that Melanie is on L.A. Reid’s label that may alread spell disaster but with the right material and marketing she could do well. Josh the runner up may do decent.

Isn’t Leona still doing decent in the UK?

Ruben’s main problem has been there is very little diversity in his songs. I hope he gets a chance to do well. This single is probably his best one but that’s not saying alot.

It’s crazy that Javier and Dia had HUGE Downloads during the show this past spring and sold lots of singles, but when thier albums dropped, they sold next to nothing. I guess it does not help that they had literally ZERO promotion and radio play. Their labels really dropped the ball with them and it’s too bad because both are amazing.

I didn’t know Javier and Dia even had albums out.  Where the hell have I been?

I remember Javier had a single out in like 2003, called “Crazy” or something,
