Sweetener absent in AOTY even though it wasn’t a threat to Kacey

It was, though? It would be the only Pop album nominated, and after getting Pop Vocal it could get AOTY. But we’ll never know. Glad Kacey won. Golden Hour > Sweetener.

Am I the only who feels it’d be a tad better had Lemonade won AOTY over 25? (I even rooted for “Formation” over “Hello,” but I’m cool either way.)

Sia’s “Chandelier” losing to Pharrell’s “Happy”. HUGE disappointment.

Lily Allen’s “Alright, Still” not nominated in Best Alternative Music Album and Bjork losing far too many times.

Janet Jackson was deserving of a Pop Female nomination for Love Will Never Do With You at the 1992 Grammy Awards

Also, Janet Jackson should have received Album of The Year nominations for Janet in 1994 and Rhythm Nation in 1990.

Also, I wonder where Velvet Rope was submitted in 1998. Was it submitted to R&B Album?

Also, I wonder if Got Til It’s Gone was submitted to R&B Female.

Not Shocking ones but Control deserved AOTY.

Brandy should’ve won Best Contemporary R&B Album with Full Moon

Janet should’ve gotten AOTY for The Velvet Rope.

Sade should’ve made it to AOTY with Love Deluxe or Lovers Rock.

The fact that SZA or Khalid lost BNA to someone who is no longer a factor in music at all…

The fact that CTRL was absent in AOTY

THE FACT THAT SZA HAS LOST EVERY GRAMMY THAT SHE HAS BEEN NOMINATED FOR!

the only exception being shallow winning song written for visual media!

btw Stan SZA, a Grammy, Golden Globe, and Oscar nominated artist🤩

Britney shouldve gotten a Pop Vocal nom for ITZ .

Blackout would’ve probably been categorized as a dance/electronic album as well.

There are so many. Where do I begin? *sighs*

Acronym Key: FPVP = Pop Female Vocal Performance, PVA = Pop Vocal Album, PCWV = Pop Collaboration with Vocals, AOTY = Album of the Year, RBA = R&B Album, FRBVP = Female R&B Vocal Performance, CRBA = Contemporary R&B Album, RBP= R&B Performance, TRBP = Traditional R&B Performance, UCA = Urban Contemporary Album

1992: Vanessa Williams should’ve won FPVP for “Save the Best For Last.”

1996: Mariah should’ve won PVA for Daydream and PCWV for “One Sweet Day” with Boyz II Men.

1997: Waiting to Exhale should’ve won AOTY and been nominated for RA, with the latter award going to Whitney, since she led the soundtrack; Toni Braxton and Tony Rich should’ve switched album categories for Secrets and Words, with Toni winning.

1998: The Preacher’s Wife soundtrack should’ve gotten nominated for and won CRBGA; Mariah Carey should’ve won FRBVP for “Honey” instead of Erykah Badu.

1999: Deborah Cox should’ve gotten nominated for and won RFVP  for “Nobody’s Supposed to Be Here.”

2002: Janet should’ve won PVA for All For You.

2003: Brandy should’ve won CRBA for Full Moon.

2004/2007: Xtina should’ve won PVA for Stripped and Back to Basics.

2009: Eric Benet should’ve won RBA for Love & Life.

2011: Monica should’ve won FRBVP for “Everything to Me” instead of Fantasia.

2014: Ariana’s PVA nod for Yours Truly instead of Lana Del Rey; Tamar Braxton should’ve won RBP for “Love & War.”

2018: SZA for BNA, RBP, and UCA;  Tamar for TRBP and RBA for”Blind,” and the Bluebird of Happiness album, winning for the former; Ledisi should’ve won RBA for Let Love Rule.

2o20: Mariah for RBA for Caution and Fantasia for TRBP for “Enough” (though there’s speculation she didn’t submit).

Who am I? You'll find out soon. Ciao, for now!

2002: Janet should’ve won PVA for All For You.

Over Lovers Rock ? Sade easily had the Best In Contention plus it was a Comeback for her before she went into hiding again.

    QUOTE

I think if only one out of Billie Jean and Beat It were nominated, then Michael Jackson would have won Song of the Year. I think they cancelled each other out
