Honey, as I previously said, Jay Z got this in the bag. Stop thinking about it.

The line-up is so shitty that even pop voting members will feel compelled to vote for 4:44 in the second round.

Jay-Z would be the most deserving winner of this bunch, but he by far has the least well known song of the nominees. And a rap song hasn’t won this category before. He’s dead last in my predictions (unfortunately).

Didn’t know Bruno’s song had 8 writers. That’s just ridiculous. It makes me predict something else, but what?

Despacito can’t win this. Can’t see this Issues girl winning.

    I guess it’s between 4:44 and 1800.

    We’ll see in a few months…

Yeah the 8 writers makes me want to change my prediction too.

But 4 of the writers are part of a group (The Stereotypes) so it’s really 5 acts I guess. They are also nominated for Producer of the Year.

Five writers are still a lot.

What in the Kim Kardashian is going on here! These nominees are awful.

“Despacito” is just here because it’s a massive hit. It’s not winning. “Issues” isn’t strong enough. “1-800-273-8255” doesn’t fit the mold of previous winners. “That’s What I Like” will get its reward in the R&B field. No rap song has won here. However, that will change. Jay-Z has never won in the General field and is a Rap icon. He’s getting some kind of lifetime achievement award. It all makes sense that he’s the first rapper to win this award.

    SHOULD WIN: No one
    WILL WIN: “4:44”

I agree. Actually looking at it closer, three of the other 5 are also a group called Shampoo Press and Curl. So it’s kind of a collaboration between 3 “acts” if that makes it better. Still it would be weird to have 8 people go up on stage to win a song writing award.

It’s been years since Latinos have been represented in the general field. Despasito will win this or Record of the Year.

Yeah, this has become a weird category. It’s more a game cancellation. Voters aren’t gonna vote for lyrics they don’t understand. Bye “Despacito”. Julia Michaels? I get the nom, but no, no win, for a low level hit from a low level artist. “That’s What I Like”? Maybe. But how this s**t has shaken out, Bruno is a major player in both ROTY and AOTY so I don’t see him winning here.
1-800 has a solid chance just cause of its message, but Logic winning this category seems like a longshot over JAY-Z.
I didn’t even predict him as a nominee, but the lyrics of “4:44” are amazing. But how hilarious is it that JAY-Z’s response to “Lemonade” will win in a major category but Beyonce didn’t? LOL. The optics aren’t going to be great.

No weirder than Adele and Taylor Swift going onstage to accept Album of the Year alongside a swarm of producers.

One song vs. one album with 10+ songs

    There is a difference.

Single Ladies had 4 songwriters, I think Bruno is still winning.

Still a bit surprised that Million Reasons isn’t here, but 1-800 is probably getting this. Despacito and Issues aren’t getting this. That’s What I Like shouldn’t be considered, but does have a chance considering the Bruno love this year. 4:44 could win if they wanna go all “we wanna make it up for Lemonade/Formation losing last year” (aka why Jay is even prevalent in the big 3 this year).

Will Win: 1-800 or That’s What I Like

    Should Win: 1-800

Get real, u can hate Justin but it has really big chances to win both. SOTY is usually won by songs whicj ends in top 10 on billboard year end, and only him and the HORRIBLE That’s what I like will stay there.

I see chances in 1800… but it won’t happen.

When i did read 4 44 i thank i was in AOTY, not song this MEGA FLOP.

Despacito will sin something big, I think ROTY, but SOTY can’t be descarted. (We all know will win DG)

Be realistic, when i saw predictions where u place Despacito at the last place, u lost all the validez. I can hate Kendrick and Bruno and see them getting AOTY.
