I think one of the greatest examples of this for me would be “LoveStoned / I Think She Knows (Interlude)” by Justin Timberlake, but not necessarily in a good way lmao. While I find the first half to be absolute garbage, the second half is amazing and sounds like a completely different song.

Beyoncé – Haunted (since ghost technically is first)July 30, 2021 at 4:58 am #1204371723I just remembered “Ultraviolet” by FKA Twigs. It’s such an underrated but outstanding song with an exquisite build-up to its chorus, which stretches from its half to its end.

Big TimeJuly 30, 2021 at 11:46 am #1204372302Maybe I’m splitting hairs here (in that perhaps the two halves aren’t that different), but the first song that came to mind was Katy Perry’s “Wide Awake.”
I like the first half, but in all honesty, I listen to it so I can get to the second half, where I feel Katy’s vocal performance is pretty powerful.
