When it comes to R&b categories, the awards have a strong association with the Grammys, with the majority of Album of the Year winners at the Soul Trains going on to win at the Grammys. Let’s take a look at who is likely to win at the BET and VH1 awards presentation on Sunday, November 28th, in such a competitive year for R&b owing to the likes of H.E.R., Jazmine Sullivan, Silk Sonic, and Giveon.

I think the soul train awards are more likely to have more r&b albums nominated for album of the year than rap album. Especially when two of them are way over a year old. Also kiss me more was nominated last year if I wasn’t mistaken.

ReplyCopy URLOctober 22, 2022 at 1:00 pm #1205129104Steve Lacy missing Male R&B/Pop & Album of the Year is plain weird. That’s why I think Muni Long will surprise in BNA. She feels like the type of artists they’d go for at Soul Train.
ReplyCopy URLNovember 26, 2022 at 8:05 pm #1205167754Jazmine winning Female R&B was probably the biggest surprise. Especially over Mary & Beyoncé who have more recent releases. She’s definitely in her honeymoon period with voters.
