Honey, that’s why I pay the critics dust. They’re always off.

It broke a record becoming fastest #1 on US iTunes in 6 minutes. It has also sold 800K in its first hour on iTunes.

It has 81 scores based on 6 critics so far. The lowest one is 70 by The New York Times (I think they didn’t like Miss Swift using their iconic font, haha)

    It’s #1 in 64 countries’ iTunes.

Ha, Divide sounds like a masterpiece compared to this Abomination. I can’t wait for the critics to destroy this, many songs remind me of Witness so bad. This era won’t last unless she exploits her fans to death.
Max Martin needs to take a break, I can’t see any hits from this album in comparison to 1989, unless she releases another overproduced video.
There is no malipulative and abusive marketing trick that could save this crap.
    Her worst album by far.

Shut the f*** up because you are always arguing about Taylor Swift seriously! Just go away!

    I mean in all fairness,

When critics give DAMN and Ctrl favorable reviews, “oh most acclaimed album of the year” etc..

When critics give Taylor Swift favorable reviews “they’re just kissing her ass, they’ve always been off”.

I agree that critics are off as I said in the past. But let’s not have double standards here. So if you think critics are off, no need to use them as reference in other examples.

Ugh. Why is she posting her good reviews on her instagram? It comes off as desperate.

Reputation has just become the fourth album that topped over 100 countries’ iTunes lists after Beyonce, Lemonade and 25.

Also there is rumor that claims it has already hit 1M in its first day.

I think it’s comical how some of you hate her so bad, that you absolutely refuse to give credit where credit is due. Stay bitter my friends. 6th album is a row now.

I love this album. Only song I don’t like is New Year’s Day.

I have to admit it’s quite hilarious to see fanboys of other artists who would use critics/metacritic scores to defend their faves turn around and say critics are wrong etc LOL

If anyone would like to care, her label pushed for LWYMMD on radio (which isn’t uncommon) the pulled all support for it after that (which is uncommon). Billboard has an article out about that and how her focus is completely on the 200 and not the 100.

As far as bribing critics, why didn’t she do it with “1989”? Or “Red”? As far as I’m concerned she’s been top dog for quite some time so why start now? We get it you don’t like her and want anyway to discredit her, but a trolls opinion on a message board literally means nothing to anyone.

She literally could win a third AotY with a critically acclaimed, million copie selling album with a #1 hit. The Grammys already like her and her and Adele are the only artist that cause this big of a deal over an album.

I mean if she’s sold 1 million copies already that’s insane, she sold 500k in a day with “1989”.

The highest score on MC is an 80 so nobody is actually raving about this album. She’s never gonna actually have a panned reception so you have one side of critics that are gonna go easy on her just cause.

And no, I’m not gonna give her massive credit when she was obviously desperate to break records and try to reach Adele’s. Adele had promotion but she didn’t go through all of that to get massive first week sales.

From the iTunes previews (NOT buying it) Getaway Car, Call it What You Want and Dancing With Our hands tied are the best songs because they sound like 1989 Taylor.

I wish Taylor didn’t go trap…that sound is gonna be so old in 6 months when it goes out of style. Overall it seems pretty meh. The album is not good, but it shows how astute she is as a businesswoman. She is not going anywhere.

PS. Even though she claims to not care about her reputation anymore on this album…she pulls this bullshit on that blogger. Thank god for the ACLU.

So you think critics go “nice” on her why? You can’t make an accusation without providing any details. What do you know?

There’s a difference between caring about your reputation and being called a white supremacist. Ones slander. People have been sued for less, ever heard of Tom Cruise?

From a small blogger with zero influence? No. That’s the first amendment. She gave him/her such a bigger voice and opened up the discussion over the fact that she HASN’T disavowed her legion of Neo-Nazi fans.
She can’t handle anyone not liking her that she made an entire album dedicated to the peope who dislike her. She calls them all “haters” and surrounds herself with sycophantic followers.
It’s interesting to see on her tumblr how she lives in an echo chamber only filled with her fans that fan her ego. She’s spent so much time obsessing over Kanye that she has finally become him.

At least, its Metacritic rating is falling, imagine this getting an “universal acclaim” (it wouldn’t the first time :s). This album is just not good and actually makes me appreciate 1989, this has so much autotune and tries so hard being catchy, it’s so annoying. I don’t think this era will last, obviously her marketing team will force her “success”.
Everything around her seems so faked and staged, it’s not about the music anymore.
