    – 80% drop second week. She’s not even able to keep the #1 spot more than a week…

Thats usual for her, Reputation had a larger drop

Even 1989 had a 70% drop in its second week. It’s pretty normal when your first week sales are very big. You can’t keep up in the second week.

Taylor Swift is the only woman to have three albums spend over 250 weeks on the ur billboard hot 200. She’s also the only woman to have five albums spend over 100 weeks on the chart. Every single album save for Lover has spend 100 weeks, pretty good for someone who has no talent.

Taylor Swift co-wrote a song with Andrew Lloyd Webber called “Beautiful Ghosts” for Cats.

I’ve never had this much free time but the quarantine gave me time to give all of Taylor Swift’s albums another listen, so I decided to rank them.

    1. Red
    2. Lover
    3. reputation
    4. 1989
    5. Speak Now
    6. Fearless
    7. Taylor Swift

In my opinion, Taylor Swift has a few gems (Tim McGraw, Teardrops On My Guitar, Our Song) but is overall average. Fearless is very good, but not quite great. I think the others are all excellent and are five of the best country/pop albums of the last decade.

    Red
Sonically turbulent, emotionally searing, her usual feisty breakdowns matched by the scarce expressions of tender happiness. Flawed it might be, but a great album it is. A

    1989
It was never a question that she would end up a banker like her father, so cherish the fact that as she marches into neon lights in her limo, her ever-observing eyes still have time for the “boys and boys and girls and girls” who were “someone else before.” A-

    Lover
Relaxed, bedazzled, and calmly telling you why she has every right to say she knows more about men than you do. Maybe she really did run out of things to prove after all. A-

    Fearless
Where teen pop found out it doesn’t have to be intolerant towards a basic level of sophistication and singer-songwriters found out not every emotion has to be coated in distorted filters. She may have painted herself as a next-door role model, but the true eighteen-year-old underneath was ten times as self-possessed and a hundred times as talented. A-

    Speak Now
The one where she had the most self-control on paper is also the one that’s sonically least distinguished. Half of the songs are overlong and overworked, but I listen to them anyway. B+

    reputation
“It isn’t that she completely sounds like a pop star, it’s that she completely identifies as one.” B

    self-titled
There is a formidable identity emerging, but her writing has yet to be polished. The underworked vocals didn’t help either. B-

Just wanted to say that Taylor has kind of been low-key killing it lately…

Between her “Soon It’ll Get Better” performance and the Lover in Paris special, I think she’s been proving her vocal ability, especially with slower, more acoustic tracks. Regarding the Paris concert, she made me fall in love with Cornelia Street, a song which wasn’t even in my Top 5 from Lover.

I can’t wait for the opportunity to experience the Lover album in concert, in person.

I absolutely loved the direction she took with Lover.

I hope she stays that way and stops chasing mainstream pop appeal like she did with 1989. She no longer needs that. I really didn’t like most of the singles from that album.

I actually really enjoyed 1989, along with Lover. Reputation is the album that didn’t click for me.

I’d love for her next album to be a mix of Lover/1989.
