Since I’m tired of everyone talking about Grande, I thought I’d bring up another forum favorite to bring balance.
I read an article recently, which discussed the cryptic photos Taylor released supposedly in relation to TS7. The one below is what I find most interesting:
The 4 palm trees on the left represent her first 4 country albums and the 2 on the right her pop albums. Since the middle tree is the most prominent, does this mean her new album will be a mix of both or something new?
Thoughts?February 25, 2019 at 10:02 pm #1202795127
TS7 lead single is expected to be released this March 1 or 2. I think she will announce the name of her 7th album and the lead single likely Thursday or Friday. Her upcoming seventh album will be Country pop.February 26, 2019 at 2:59 am #1202795318
If there is a new single, should we make a new thread? This one’s very long already and will get worse with another era.February 26, 2019 at 12:56 pm #1202796105
let’s save the new thread for when she actually makes an announcementFebruary 26, 2019 at 3:41 pm #1202796269
I am so stoked for TS7!!!February 27, 2019 at 4:34 pm #1202797991
cover shoot for the april issue of elle ukFebruary 27, 2019 at 4:39 pm #1202797997
Usually TS stays out of the public eye and media until she has something new. So the fact she’s doing a cover for Elle could be an indication that an album will be released soon.
It doesn’t surprise me. 1989 was also written and produced VERY quickly.
Could be that Reputation underperformance inspired her to write new songs, like it was the case with Red.February 27, 2019 at 4:50 pm #1202798012
she usually writes when she’s touring, since it’s obvious most of reputation was written after the 1989 tour she probably already has a full album’s worth of material to be incorporated into this one, although the underperformance most definitely prompted her to break her usual release cycleFebruary 27, 2019 at 5:40 pm #1202798104
As an outsider’s point of view, Taylor has to step it up this time. I really liked her country releases like Red and Fearless, but there were some things on 1989 that were interesting. I wasn’t at all impressed with reputation. I like the viewpoint of the accepting how others view yourself, but the rollout wasn’t as groundbreaking or hardhitting. Hopefully it changes if she decides to release tomorrow if not that’s cool.

Honey, people are tired of Taylor Swift. If she were smart, she’d wait until next year to release a new album while staying out of the public eye. #OverexposedFebruary 28, 2019 at 12:43 pm #1202799132
LOL…People are not tired of her…She has been really absent for quite a lot of time- no interviews, no promo for a while…Delicate was released a year ago…Now is the perfect time for her since there are no major releases this spring and her new era will be totally different from Reputation. Next Year will be all about ADELE and possibly Ed Sheeran. She will probanly dodge Adele like she did with 1989 which was smart…I think she will dominate like Ariana did recently if she promotes itFebruary 28, 2019 at 1:27 pm #1202799209
First of all, I accidentally liked Xtina’s comment. Gold Derby should allow taking back a like lol. But anyways, I actually disagree. Taylor was out of the spotlight for awhile now. She kept it very low-key the entire era.
Second, I am excited for TS7. I think it’ll be a return of form. Reputation was obviously something she needed to do. I believe the next release will be light, and something we all came to love Taylor for.March 3, 2019 at 5:31 am #1202801989
Apparently Big Machine has sent Getaway Car to Radio….? I highly doubt it’s her decision given how we are on the cusp of a new era and she’s has a new record deal, probably Big Machine trying to milk her music for the last time. If she really wanted another single it would’ve come out almost 6 months ago, when Delicate started fading away.March 3, 2019 at 7:17 am #1202802072
I’m expecting either an announcement on March 8th, or the single release. I’m totally perched for her new music! I need another 1989!
