This album is shaping up to be a disaster. She’s committing career suicide releasing these terrible singles.August 16, 2019 at 7:16 am #1203026273
“Lover” is just ok. My least fav from the new songs thus far tbhAugust 16, 2019 at 8:47 am #1203026454
LOVER Song is def a contender for SOTY and ROTY
Let’s see how it does on the charts, It will probably be the biggest hit of the era, so they can’t ignore her.August 16, 2019 at 10:27 am #1203026560

I don’t know if the song will be have had enough commercial success by the time voting rolls around. It doesn’t sound like an instant smash (it’ll likely debut high, but that isn’t always representative of a song’s entire run), and the eligibility period ends in just two weeks.
I could be wrong; “Lover” will undoubtably get a boost from the album release and everything that surrounds it. Whether or not this will have longevity isn’t known for sure. I’m just speculating.
I really doubt that she’ll get into any GF categories.August 16, 2019 at 11:08 am #1203026611

The quality is there but it doesn’t sound all that commercial. I can’t see it being a big hit but who knows.August 16, 2019 at 7:57 pm #1203027276

“Lover” gave me hope that there will be some good songs on the album. The best pre-album song by far in my opinion.
I’m super eager to listen to “Cruel Summer”. Many of the secret sessioners hyped it up to be like “Style”, and that’s my fave Taylor song, and fave pop song of the decade period.August 17, 2019 at 12:39 pm #1203028085
From secret session’s, Its Nice To Have A Friend is another “ME” and features children singing….
That is the truth.

pitchfork reviews her first five records
somehow feels like a “let’s throw a few positive words at the swifties so they won’t be too mad when we pan the new one”August 19, 2019 at 8:03 am #1203029947
Red getting a 9.0? The highs are really high, but those lows are just terrible. Reputation deserved.
Also, extremely petty of them to have Reputation be her lowest album by just 0.2, so they can have a narrative of her having a strong decline.August 19, 2019 at 8:58 am #1203030008
HDD are predicting 200k-250k digital sales (NOT including physical copies or the Target editions) for Lover. In comparison, Reputation opened with over 700k digital sales.
She’s going to struggle getting that 1M+ debut.August 19, 2019 at 9:15 am #1203030031

I dont think that’s accurate, since she’s adding Me!ss and YNTCD the album is already roughly at 270k…. just based off two songs, and that not including Archer and Lover. PLUS the Target exclusives, and all that bundling.
Im predicting total around 700k but 1mil doesn’t look promising….
y'all ugly and smelly
