You are the most frustrating person on this website.

You can always click that “Ignore” button just like I did now.

Your loss. Just don’t go around discussing other people’s sexuality. It’s not cute.

Jared isn’t even an Ariana stan…

    Sure.

    Love Ariana to death

Anyway you Ariana stans are so annoying. My comment was a jab at his poorly-worded comment that’s more stereotypical than anything: “I’m straight but I really like the fantasy visuals she is giving.”

    Get over it.

I really hope that TS7 is better than Taylor’s Reputation era. Many people (myself included) were very disappointed in that project.

    Your loss.

Tell him sis. He’s losing quality content from you.

I cannot WAIT! Along with Lorde and Janelle Monáe, Taylor is one of the only artists I dedicatedly follow. I’m loving all of the butterfly stuff here.

There is an Ariana Grande thread in this forum. If you want to talk about her or her fans, please use that thread.

However, Taylor makes countdowns for her album all over the world. The countries that billboards were spotted so far:

    Avustralia
    Japan
    Canada
    Mexico
    Germany
    UK
    US

I wonder if she will do the same thing for the rest of Europe and Latin America. She needs to promote it (and tour) in the entire Asia, Europe and Latin America this time.

This era is already started with positive reactions. The ones who accuse Taylor of “spreading hate” at the beginning of Reputation era do not complain anymore.

I don’t think you fully understand how pathetic you are in these forums

Anyways, I’m hoping good sis Taylor breaks through. I still want her to return to country but I won’t complain with a 1989-type album.

I love multiple artists doesn’t mean I stan them… you don’t have to like someone’s music to just like them tf. I was talking about Taylor not Ariana btw but go off😂

Anyone know why reputation didn’t work though? It had good songs the flow just didn’t work

I’m probably the only person who really loves reputation and can argue for it being her best album…

The lyrics were the biggest problem IMO.

She tried to frame herself as either the “bad guy” in situations where she really wasn’t, and we all know Taylor Swift can’t pull off being “intimidating”. That happens on songs like LWYMMD, Ready for It?, and SPECIALLY the atrocious This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things (which is her worst song by faaaaaaaaar). The only place where I believe it sorta works is I Did Something Bad, which is ruined by some very bad production.

The other problem is that, the love songs are just simply not 1989 levels of pop. Gorgeous feels amateur (and again, Jack Antonoff delivers mid-tier production), Dress is extremely unsexy, New Year’s Day is boring, and King of My Heart feels like if Lauren Daigle and Flume tried to make a love song and failed.

The songs that do work, though, are very. VERY good IMO. Delicate is a piece of tropical-house mixed with her usual pop flavour, and a very interesting and nonchalant vibe lyrically. The lyrics are so relaxed and paint Swift as the “popstar who just wants to chill”, which feels authentic.

Don’t Blame Me and Dancing With Our Hands Tied work in a very dark, yet potent vibe. I love how Lorde-esque the lyrics of DWOHT feel, and Don’t Blame Me also works in the context of a husky love song.

Overall, I feel like reputation failed in being earnest. This is why I feel like critics didn’t like it as much as something like thank u, next (which, let’s be honest, was Ariana Grande course-correcting for her complicated life drama), or even something like Lemonade. Both of those albums feel like those women are taking control of their narrative, while reputation felt like Taylor pretending to be something she’s not.
