I think it can stand a chance of going #1 after the release or the week after. Republic’s promotion for the song is great, the billboards all over don’t have her name which will make people curious and go to the website but I think that as of right now everyone knows it’s her, the other thing is changing her covers of albums for the date in spotify which will make people anticipate the song.
Next thing they probably will promote more after the release and that includes a video and probably a performance at Billboard’s award ceremony.
And for going #1 she doesn’t necessarily need huge streaming numbers, if the song sells well, which probably will because her fanbase is crazy and they actually buy the song, and a streaming week like the one for Look, she can be #1.
The real deal is if she can maintain the spot after it’s release. Which leads us to a MV and performances. And with more promotion, which apparently Republic is great at.April 21, 2019 at 1:10 pm #1202860887
She will definitely deliver, I’m not worried about it. I’m sure with this being her first project at a new label they will pull out all the stops for her.April 21, 2019 at 2:33 pm #1202860915
the current promotion method is getting exhausting, especially when put next to the flawlessly executed campaign for reputation (in the beginning at least), her team needs to give something more substantial otherwise the hype would start to declineApril 21, 2019 at 6:42 pm #1202861128

Yeah, it feels kinda drawn out. I’m still filled with anticipation that grows as we approach Friday. But it definitely wouldn’t hurt to refocus people’s attention with something more flashy (for lack of a better term)
Her fans still go crazy for her daily posts though.April 22, 2019 at 5:28 pm #1202862594
Is this song a lead single from an album or just a standalone single?
It’s reported that the song is called “New Man” and is produced by BloodPop.April 22, 2019 at 5:35 pm #1202862605
newman was a single by bloodpop earlier this year, with taylor swift these “registered titles” always turn out to be either fake or songs she didn’t use for older albumsApril 23, 2019 at 6:00 am #1202863190
Honey, watch the title of the new song be gay as fuck.April 24, 2019 at 9:53 pm #1202865598

I have a feeling that “Step into the daylight and let it go” is a lyric from the song. She’s used that sentence in a pretty cryptic way in her Elle interview and on Instagram. The song is probably called Daylight and it’s probably about reconciliation and positivity.Marcus Snowden (The Artist Formerly Known as msnowden1)ParticipantApril 24, 2019 at 11:03 pm #1202865634
I know this wull probably never happen considering how much pre-teens and teens are a core part of Taylor’s fanbase, but I would love it if this new single is somewhat explicit.April 25, 2019 at 12:08 am #1202865665

not with all that flowery aesthetic she’s been sporting, besides if the sexual songs on reputation were anything to go by her sex life really isn’t all that fascinatingApril 25, 2019 at 12:46 am #1202865702
My final prediction for TS7 lead single tomorrow:
-The lead single will be written by Taylor Swift.
-It will be produced by Max Martin and Shellback.
-Likely disco-pop funk song (Uptown Funk 2.0 or Get Lucky 2.0)
-Possible Blank Space 2.0
-Should be able to challenge Ariana Grande’s Thank U,Next for biggest streaming for a female artist
-It will meet with positive reviews from the critics(critical acclaim or universal acclaim)
-It should be heading to #1 in Hot 100 in two weeks from now Depending if Old Town Road does not have remix or music video release.April 25, 2019 at 6:30 am #1202866029
I’m really hyped for the single and so excited to see where she takes herself next (we want Style 2.0)!
