The awards for video and event of the year were handed out earlier today and they went to “Blue Bird” from Miranda Lambert and the collaboration from Lee Brice and Carly Pearce. (smiles)

Does anyone know the names of the songs that were done for the Charlie Daniels tribute? The only ones that I recognized are “Long Haired Country Boy” and “The Devil Went Down To Georgia” which in my opinion should’ve been done by the Zac Brown Band. Did the CMA award show powers that be really forget about their awesome CMA award show performance of that song in 2009 that easily?

^^^ That was actually in 2006 and it was only because one of them girls said first that they didn’t want their music mixed in there with hers. Yeah, Reba could’ve shrugged off what was said, but I guess that she was only trying to teach them the following lesson: If she wasn’t wanted in such a game, why did they go out of their way to show her how to play it?

Congrats to Morgan Wallen on his Best New Artist of the Year award win! I love his song named “Seven Summers Ago”. (smiles)

^^^ If she wasn’t wanted in such a game, why was she shown how to play? Them girls can speak their minds, but no one else can?

What Jon Pardi sang in Joe Diffie’s memory didn’t surprise me. It was most definitely fitting considering the fact that his widow is wife #4, but to me, a medley of that song along with his other biggest hits should’ve been done instead.
