That performance was great. This is probably the best live performance she’s given in recent memory. She’s gorgeous. The only negative would be we could have done without the Fiat. We got the Fiat product placement in the music video and then again in a live performance. Kinda ridiculous.

The Fiat actually soured the entire performance for me. She’s given this very same performance several times before. In the context of last night, she stood out due to the fact that she didn’t completely suck like so many of the acts did. But she offered up nothing that we haven’t seen before. I work in advertising and I get that she wants the benefits that come along with being attached to a large brand as an artist, but in a live awards show performance, product placement comes across as kind of desperate, as if she’ll do anything for a cut check.

I agree the car was stupid.  She did “werk” it superbly though!  One of the highlight performances of the night.  I can’t believe how much Papi shot up itunes after that performance.  It was well into the 100’s and now it’s 66.

She is doing a concert at Orchard Beach on June 4th. I live like 5 minutes away tops and tried getting tickets but they sold out quick.
