oh yeaaaah I forgot about the extended version. and the sort of rumor is that she dies in that version, right?
I heard that too, and that Stevie Nicks does a voice over or something? I dunno… But I still want to see that version.
ahh okay, that makes sense. I was kind of wondering where the voiceover from the trailer would come into play.
ReplyCopy URLNovember 11, 2011 at 7:38 pm #371237As I started to watch this, I was expecting it to become funny…but those final moments of the car going over the cliff and the old Katy walking up to the cliff were extremely moving. A video like this just might get her her another #1. Incredible.
I agree. At first I thought the old age makeup was a little distracting, but as it went on, it became moving. When she’s sitting on her bed and the ending on the cliff, it was quite touching.
ReplyCopy URLNovember 11, 2011 at 9:12 pm #371238I really want to watch the extended version. Even though I like it, and I thought it was very emotional, I thought this could be even better if we get the chance to connect with Diego Luna’s character more. But I’m sure the longer version with Stevie Nicks’ voice over will change that. By the way, why didn’t she just released the extended version right away? I don’t think releasing the bigger cut later will bring much as much attention than the first premiere, and it could’ve been the change to really blow people’s minds off right off the bat.
Oh, well, like I said, I think it’s pretty good, but I still think we need to see the whole thing to judge it properly.

Katy Perry hosting ‘SNL’ with musical guest Robyn
Someone tell Kathy Beth Terry.
Katy Perry has just announced via Twitter she’ll be hosting the Dec. 10 episode of Saturday Night Live with musical guest Robyn. “I’m SO excited 2 announce I’ll be HOSTING Saturday Night Live Dec. 10! This is the cherry on top and @robynkonichiwa is part of it!” (NBC confirms the news to EW.)
Obviously best known for her music, this appearance will mark her first go-round as host, although she previously has been the musical guest, belting out “Teenage Dream” and “California Gurls” in the premiere episode last year.
While not a comedian — although she is married to one — Perry had a goofy How I Met Your Mother guest spot last year, and she was definitely game to make fun of herself (and her run in with Sesame Street) the last time she was on SNL, as a musical guest.
Excited to see Katy Perry’s comedy chops?
ReplyCopy URLNovember 21, 2011 at 5:22 pm #371243I think she will do good too. She is the quirky type that works well doing comedy and she has a lot of “comedy” music videos (“Last Friday Night”, “Hot & Cold”, “Waking Up in Vegas”, “California Girls”) I’m more excited about Robyn though. I’m also surprised she is going to host before Gaga, there was a lot of talk Gaga was going to host this season. Surely she was busy or SNL is planning on asking her a little later this season.

I am also glad shes not performing (IMO she did awful last year.) I think she is a much funnier comedian with alot of life in her acting.

Now hearing Robyn performing is great news. Hopefully this can help push her back to U.S. listeners, and the Grammys will finally embrace her. Have to record this!November 21, 2011 at 6:28 pm #371246This is absolutely hilarious and extremely embarrassing for Katy. Check this out.

cute. I think she might do this at every show, though…
ReplyCopy URLNovember 21, 2011 at 8:31 pm #371248I doubt Robyn will have a breakout SNL performance a la Adele. The main factor that worked in Adele’s favor was that there was a huge event going on when she appeared. It happened to be Sarah Palin during her show. That kind of event is bound to draw viewers that SNL wouldn’t normally get. With that said, that kind of buzz surrounding SNL is far and few between.
