Two critic reviews came out already:

The Guardian gave it 3/5 stars

    Telegraph gave out 4/5

Both were reviewed by old white guys….

The album is not winning AOTY and Urban Contemporary Album is very competitive with Solange, Lizzo, Khalid, Anderson Paak. I don’t see The Gift winning, it’s not going to be a big commercial success.

Beyonce just released an extended music video of “Spirit” featuring “Bigger” – she’s definitely on a promotion train to get this album going!

Beyoncé would easily win against them.

I hope she milks tf out of Brown Skin Girl. Like, milk it’s blackness and everything… make a Girls Like You-esque themed video where she’s showing all these different black Women etc.  it’s got crossover appeal.

You ALWAYS try to insert Gaga in everything. There’s nothing “Gaga” about this. Interludes didn’t start with Gaga and they will not end there. Stop fucking trolling.

Girl, chill it isn’t a big deal. Artists take inspiration from each other all the time. I just noticed the very obvious similarity and it’s true, you can’t deny it.

Name one soundtrack that had dialogue excerpts from the movie as interludes to some songs, other than ASIB?

Gaga specifically mentioned that she wanted to do it that way, so that the listener can re-imagine scenes of the movie and understand the context of the songs as they go through the soundtrack.

It just goes to show ASIB’s impact on how soundtracks will be arranged from now on.

im 100% confident that the dialogue in both albums were so it could garner more streams and sales lol. TBH the dialogue didn’t fit in The Gift, because the songs LITERALLY had nothing to do with the movie itself lol. After the tracking week ill most likely delete the dialogue.

Please… soundtracks have had spoken dialogue for far too long. You really think music began with “Just Dance”. Even Dreamgirls had some spoken dialogue. Imagine thinking Beyoncé is influenced by Gaga in any way, shape or form, I seriously have to laugh…

    Funny, I don’t see it here: https://open.spotify.com/album/3hWi2BRj3kA7PNFdUmyOvK

No point in beating a dead horse dude. Put the ego aside. Artists do take inspiration from each other, yes even Beyoncé. And you can’t deny that the dialogue arrangement in the soundtrack is just way too similar to ASIB (which again was the first to do that). I like it anyway.

    Moving on…
