Who do you think are the most snubbed and under-awarded artists of all-time?
ReplyJanuary 12, 2019 at 9:11 am #1202730834To me, LeAnn Rimes should have more than just two, but of course there are plenty of acts who still have yet to get even one.
Toby Keith
Kenny Chesney
Dierks Bentley
Martina McBrideGod bless you and the under rated always!!!
Holly (a day one fan of LeAnn)

Cher is also a great pick, and a very influential artist as well.
ReplyCopy URLJanuary 12, 2019 at 10:00 am #1202730884Mariah Carey is definitely one of the biggest snubs of all time…She has like 18 #1s, 2 songs of the decade, is one of the biggest if not the biggest solo act of all time in chart success, countless hits, 15 albums, 10+ classics, writes her own songs but has just 5 Grammys
ReplyCopy URLJanuary 12, 2019 at 10:24 am #1202730899^^^ Mariah still has the five Grammy awards that she has. Shame on me for completely forgetting about the country band named Sawyer Brown in my previous message, but with them being as awesome and under rated as they are, maybe a message all their own is what they deserve. One CMA for Best New Artist in 1985 and one ACM for Group Of The Year in 1997 is pretty much the only awards that were ever given to them. I only know of one Grammy nomination that they have to their name right now and it is for their song named “All These Years” in early 1994. The lead singer did eventually get one Grammy but it was through his production credit for another act by the name of the Casting Crowns. Speaking of the lead guy, the best way to describe him may be the Michael Jackson of country music. Mark Miller equals FIRECRACKER fun!!! Start with the Sawyer Brown Star Search clip at You Tube and then go to their videos for the songs named “Step That Step”, Betty’s Bein’ Bad”, “My Baby’s Gone”, “Love Comes Callin'”, “The Race Is On”, and “The Boys And Me”. (big smile)
God bless you and him and his circle of family and friends always!!!
Holly
P.S. Mark’s 60th birthday was just this past October, but you would never know of his being here that long when you see him on that stage because absolutely NOTHING has changed about his concert delivery. A clip at You Tube of an Ohio show from last summer WILL confirm. (big smile)

Mariah owned 1990s…I don’t know what Grammys had against her- she was likeable, sold a lot, crazy amount of hits, wrote her own songs, had a fantastic voice and performances…She was in 1990 what Adele is in 2010s…
ReplyCopy URLJanuary 12, 2019 at 11:17 am #1202730917I’m gonna say Reba McEntire, she hasnt won a competitive cma since 94 and only has three Grammys and no Emmy award or nomination for her show.
ReplyCopy URLJanuary 12, 2019 at 12:27 pm #1202730975I’m pretty sure the poster is not referring only to the Grammys.

ReplyCopy URLThe Oscar needs to get rid of the preferential ballot so it can name a deserving movie as Best Picture again.
January 12, 2019 at 1:35 pm #1202731032Honey, Mariah Carey faced stiff competition back in the 1990’s. She deservingly lost all those Grammys. She lost to heavyweights like Anita Baker, Erykah Badu, Alanis Morissette, Bonnie Raitt, Joni Mitchell, and Annie Lennox among others.
Mariah Carey should and could easily won at least 15 Grammys…She has one of the best voice and vocals of all-time, her songs had HUGE success, she wrote all of them and she is probably the best charting artist of all time, but only 5 Grammys to her name while someone like Swift with basic boring songs has 10 (possibly 11 in 2019)

No disrespect, but there was always better nominees everytime she was nominated.
