Yes. Yes. Yes!!!!!
I actually like the numeric album titles, I’m suprised she decided to go that route again after previously saying that she wouldn’t do it. I have the utmost faith in her as an artist and I have not a single doubt that this album will be anything less than stellar.May 5, 2014 at 12:24 pm #399024
So excited!May 5, 2014 at 12:27 pm #399025
Come on bring it Adele!May 5, 2014 at 3:14 pm #399026
The music industry is on it’s knees begging Adele to save it once again. I hope she brings it.May 5, 2014 at 4:37 pm #399027
Can’t wait!!!May 5, 2014 at 7:54 pm #399028
I’m happy that she’s going with a number as her title, and what way to do it other than the number “25” – another special number.
The expectations will be unreasonably high thanks to the success of 21. That was a once-in-a-lifetime thing for an artist, so I’m not sure if it would be fair to hold Adele up to that standard, especially when no other artist has come close to it in years. I’m hoping this is at least a multi-platinum era for her with a few hits (not necessarily RITD/SLY/SFTTR caliber hits). Just an era that proves that she is more than just a one-era wonder that people just write her off to be. I think she has it in her to make good music again and show the naysayers that she is here to stay. But how will she follow-up on the music? Her first two albums are about heartbreak and sadness. She is now in her mid-twenties, a mother and has loving boyfriend. I’m sure that has inspired her writing on 25, so there’s a good chance that this album is much more upbeat than her first two albums. Can’t wait until there is more news on this. I have a sound in my head for this album already.May 5, 2014 at 11:59 pm #399029
Oh, here we go! Posters will be wetting themselves at every chance. I’m picturing the comments now. “Adele is the best artist in the world.” “Adele’s new single is great!” “Adele’s new album is a classic.” Blah, blah, blah.
A part of me is interested in hearing how she will follow up the Grammy-winning 21. Enough with these number titles already.May 6, 2014 at 10:18 am #399030
I’m interested in the direction of her music sonically ! Y’all know damn well this album is gonna sell like hot cakes. I predict amilli first week and at least 5 million total.May 6, 2014 at 3:49 pm #399031
Not a surprise that this has become big news. Not loving the title but this should be really good.May 6, 2014 at 6:55 pm #399032
25 vs. Beyoncé for AOTY! Oh the gays are gonna wet themselves
EDIT: Last year’s eligibility period was October 1, 2012 to September 30, 2013, so unless 25 comes out in September, she won’t compete with Queen B.
So that means they can both winMay 6, 2014 at 7:30 pm #399033
I wouldn’t be surprised if Adele releases the first single right before cut off just to have something eligible for this year. It should be interesting to see how well she does during the Christmas holiday season.May 6, 2014 at 9:24 pm #399034
It’s gonna be a great fall for album sales with Adele and Taylor both releasing probably weeks apart. The two biggest artists in North America and probably million+ 1st weeks.May 6, 2014 at 9:48 pm #399035
Hopefully Adele has a Q4 release since her sales will be so front loaded. Everyone will be anticipating this and if she has a hit single opening week sales will be through the roof. If everything falls into place, this will far and away be the top selling album of 2014.May 7, 2014 at 4:53 am #399036
Honey, Taylor Swift is gonna get crushed by Adele. Thank goodness for that!
I, too, think Adele will do a milli her first week out. People are highly anticipating her next album.
I’m kind of torn. A part of me thinks Adele should release 25 before September 30, 2014. That way the album can compete at next year’s Grammy Awards. The album will probably come out in November to capitalize off of holiday sales.
