How is it a surprise if everyone including us are talking about it and waiting for it. She’s already done it before doing it again doesn’t really generate buzz.

It’s less of a surprise but people would still buy it comsiderably more than in a traditional “promoted” release

Watched Lemonade assuming it was new music….and honestly i liked the song where she hit the cars and the one with the Weekend. Not impressed. The rest just were kinda just there but not exactly bad either just kinda blah.

Why can’t the likes of Beyonce and Rihanna just go back to making all out pop anthems? It’s what made them who they are in the first place! It’s what the fans want deep down! Not some rap/R&B hybrid crap.

I miss pop Beyonce too but “Drunk in Love”, “XO” and “Pretty Hurts” where good. I’m just not a fan of R&B. I’m sure it will be acclaimed and be nominated for AotY but I have a much more mainstream taste in music. I’m basic pretty much.

To be fair, “XO” and “Pretty Hurts” are pretty much pop Beyonce. I’m only a few songs in on my first listen, but for people who called the self-titled album experimental, this album takes it even further.
