All of last years performers were nominated but I took Lupe out of my predictions months ago.November 2, 2011 at 7:17 pm #376026
I’m sure all of those artists performing will get at least one nomination, except Ludacris. I got them down for the following amount of nominations (the amount appears in parenthesis):
-Jason Aldean (3)
-Lady GaGa (3)
-Lupe Fiasco (1)November 2, 2011 at 7:18 pm #376027
I’m sure that Lupe Fiasco will get nominated for Best Rap Performance or Best Rap Song (The Show Goes On), and Jason Aldean as well as GaGa will show up somewhere in the General Field. Ludacris? Did he even submit in any category..? I don’t think so…November 2, 2011 at 8:40 pm #376029
They are definately gonna be snubbed. “Stuck Like Glue” was a pretty big hit and it was snubbed. They seem to have peaked a while ago and Country Group is stacked this year.November 3, 2011 at 10:07 am #376030
since they are performing on Grammy Nods night, these 5 are our Album of the Year nominees.November 16, 2011 at 5:31 am #376031
Usher and Rihanna has been added to perform. For some reason I cant copy and paste.November 16, 2011 at 5:32 am #376032
The fact that Rihanna is booking State-side gigs well on tour in Europe shows that she will take any opportunity to promote her album in the US. Ms Fenty and Usher have been added to the The GRAMMY Nominations Concert (Live) which will take place Wednesday Nov. 30 at the Nokia Theatre L.A.. The event will air on CBS Television Network from 10 – 11 p.m. ET/PT. Other performers include:
The Grammy Awards will take place on Feb 12, 2012November 16, 2011 at 6:10 am #376033
I have a feeling Rihanna might get in the GF right now. “Loud” for AOTY I don’t see it happening, but maybe “All Of The Lights” or “We Found Love” for either ROTY or SOTY?November 16, 2011 at 6:51 am #376034
I wouldn’t try to make any correlations with who is performing and who gets nominated for big awards. Yes, last year, Katy and a bunch of others got big nominations, but the first two years were different, especially the first year. They are tricky with these.
Most of these performers are past Grammy winners/nominees. They always include those. I do expect these artists to see nominations in at least their genre categories, except for Usher and Ludacris.November 16, 2011 at 10:37 am #376035
so does this mean Rihanna will get an Album of the Year nod for LOUD?November 16, 2011 at 10:41 am #376036
She’ll get 2-3 nominations. Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “What’s My Name?” and “All Of The Lights” and a possible nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album.November 16, 2011 at 10:57 am #376037
The Band Perry has also been added to perform. I REALLY REALLY want them to win BNA. I’m worried about Foster The People tho.November 16, 2011 at 11:12 am #376038
i think The Band Perry will win Best New Artist. and don’t be surprised if they end up somewhere else in the General Field. “You Lie” might not have the crossover success of “If I Die You” but it was a Country Radio hit. and Since IIDY is ineligible maybe they’ll get recognition for You Lie instead.
