Whitney Houston’s “Greatest Hits” is coming out the same day as Christina Aguilera. Werk!
Where is “Run To You?”September 25, 2012 at 1:57 pm #371606

RTU wasn’t that big of a hit. Everyone knows it because of The Bodyguard, but it barely cracked the Top 40. Even “My Name Is Not Susan” was a bigger hit. That one is underrated!
The solo version of ILTY was bad enough, but this new duet is horrible. And why are only some of the songs remastered? They couldn’t muster the strength and money to remaster the whole thing? Lame.
“Heartbreak Hotel” and “It’s Not Right But It’s Okay” were bigger hits than “My Love Is Your Love.” I have to say I like that track better, but I hear those other two on the radio still.September 25, 2012 at 10:07 pm #371608
I thought that It’s Not Right, But It’s Okay and My Love Is Your Love both hit #4 on the Hot 100 Chart, but My Love Is Your Love went #2 on the R&B Chart while It’s Not Right, But It’s Okay peaked at #7 on the R&B Chart. This is based off my memory.September 26, 2012 at 12:38 pm #371609
Yes, you’re right. They were about the same size hits. HH was the biggest and yet it’s on the deluxe version while MLIYL is on the standard, which is weird.August 9, 2013 at 3:51 pm #371610This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.August 10, 2013 at 11:16 pm #371611
I was listening to a lot of Whitney this past week and I started tearing up while listening to One Moment In Time.
I remembered when she performed that at the Grammys. She lost to Tracy Chapman’s Fast Car, but I felt that Whitney should have won Pop Female.May 25, 2014 at 9:05 am #371612
Lifetime doing Whitney Houston movie with Angela Bassett
on May 22, 2014 at 4:22PM
Inevitable, but also inevitably interesting: Lifetime is doing a
Whitney Houston movie. Because of course they are. When Lifetime’s
press release hit our inbox, the first question that sprang to mind was:
They’re not already doing a Whitney Houston movie? Adding extra intrigue: Oscar nominee Angela Bassett will direct the film. Bassett and Houston co-starred in 1995′s Waiting to Exhale together. We’re told Bassett will not star, but she may have another role in the film.
Here’s Lifetime’s plan for its take on the pop singer, who died two years ago at the age of 48: “Whitney Houston
chronicles the headline-making relationship between the iconic singer,
actress, producer and model, and singer, songwriter Bobby Brown — from
the time they first met at the very height of their celebrity, to their
courtship and tumultuous marriage. Throughout it all, difficulties
followed the superstar couple while they dealt with the overwhelming
rewards and consequences of the fame and fortune created by Whitney’s
meteoric rise that would soon overshadow them both.”
Added Bassett: “I have such regard for both Whitney’s and Bobby’s
amazing talents and accomplishments; and I feel a responsibility in the
telling of their story. Their humanity and bond fascinates us all. I’m
beyond excited to have this opportunity to go behind the camera and into
their world.” Whitney Houston (working title) is scheduled to premiere in 2015.May 26, 2014 at 10:33 am #371613This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.
