I think with recent albums Taylor hasn’t been quite as successful on the radio as much, but she does well on streaming and pure sales. I think there will be times where her singles barely chart but her albums consistently go number one. Album charts are falling further and further down and she has already gotten 8 weeks at number one with a possible 9th. I think she will always do well with her albums and I do think she well get an EGOT one day. I think she’s just too big to fade away to not remain as a legend.

Well… 2020 isn’t over yet. But that’s amazing for her I mean let’s be honest she deserves it and is a big streaming force. Imagine how big next year will be with Re Recordings

I’m just thinking about ask the artists and seeing there Pure sales first week and how they never get this high… and Taylor is doing this with a 4 month old Album
As a new fan who only heard folklore (and lover recently) i personally do not care if she continues to be a top selling artist. Maybe its impossible to be up there all the time, with all your albums. She already has broken numerous world records. She changed her style several times and stayed at the top. Thats impossible to achieve for most artists. She should be content, because she is already a musical legend.
And then she can dedicate herself to do what she does best: music. At this point she can do whatever she wants: jazz, alt rock, a piano ballad album, a bobdylanesque album, a pure folk album, a pure rock album, a strange album with new sounds and genre fussions. After listening to folklore, im actually excited for what she might do next. She can do anything. As a fan of music, im hoping she will continue the artistic route and wont care anymore about sales or radio hits. I hope she gets weird and experimental and keeps making music until she is in her 80s.

Her last project seemed to be rock-ish. But she is also into soul and folk. She has never tweeted about any of the other nominated albums… I think we know who she’s voting for… And it may point to a trend of rock/alt voters maybe breaking for Taylor in small numbers.
