At least Sisqo didn’t win. LOL.

Sisqo had a major breakthrough that year. Not even his group could get nominated for a Grammy. A win for him would have been more justifiable than Shelby Lynne’s.

Yeah, but his music is absolutely terrible. If he won, it would have been like when the Starland Vocal Band won despite being known for one of the most legendarily bad songs of all time. Lynne’s debut album was at least solid, even though she’s not nearly as influential as Jill Scott. A win for Brad Paisley would not age well when you consider that he later made the infamous “Accidental Racist”. I would give it to Scott, but I don’t hate the fact that the award went to Shelby Lynne.

Here’s one: Michael Bolton’s terrible cover of “When A Man Loves A Woman” beating George Michael’s classic “Freedom!’90” for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance in 1992.

Get real!  Bon Iver (BARF!) should NOT have won Best New Artist over J. Cole or Nicki Minaj.

When everyone won over MC in 2006. They even played her music when U2 (?) won.

I stand by this till this day, U2 deserved SOTY.

MC really has just suffered from stronger competition.

“We Belong Together” was confirmed as the song of the decade by Billboard. It spent weeks at #1 and dominated practically the entire year. Mariah was robbed. That U2 song wasn’t even their best or most memorable.

Oh the U2 comment was simply a preference thing. I guess in an ideal situation, MC would’ve won.

Sade never being nominated in AOTY! At least she won BNA and Best Pop Vocal for “Lovers Rock”

The Grammys tried tf outta Whitney by deeming her ineligible for BNA. The criteria for that category has always been a mess.

Best New Artist is a mess. Shelby Lynne was nominated and won Best New Artist and it was her sixth album.

Below are the other nominees for Best New Artist
    Brad Paisley
    Papa Roach
    Jill Scott
    Sisqó

I would have voted for Jill Scott

I’m not sure if this is a problem but they should’ve had eight nominations not only the general field but for every field.

I don’t understand the win of “Don’t Look Back” by John Lee Hooker & Van Morrison over Tell Him, I Finally Found Someone or How Come How Long?

You think it was the result of vote splitting?
