Haven’t seen a topic for this for music so just wanted to leave this here:

All the Stars is a better song than Shallow. I really wished that it had won something last year.

A Seat at the Table is on the same level as LEMONADE

Post Malone’s music is actually good. [Unpopular for this forum, not the GP]

I thought I was alone. He has made some REALLY good (even great) stuff over the years. I know most people on here don’t think so, but Rockstar is one of the best #1 hits of the 2010s.

BTS is truly deserving of their worldwide celebrity. Not only is their stage presence an awesome thing to watch, but they’ve made some bops.

I can never fathom how the Beatles got their popularity and success. The only song of theirs mildly good is Hey Jude and even that’s not particularly great.

Also, Lizzo is not even 1/100 worth the hype. Her music is mostly average and her vocals are mediocre and outright bad when it’s  live. People wanting her to win Song of the Year for Truth Hurts was eyeroll worthy. The lyrics were so basic. Like every nominee was better than her ffs.

Her SOTY win would’ve been gag-worthy.

In my opinion, Steve Sanders of the Oak Ridge Boys and Billy Joe Royal are the best male singers who are no longer with us.

Actor Bronson Pinchot is the best male singer who is still here, but with acting, book narrating, and house restoration being his main fields of expertise, James Otto, to me, is the best male in the singing field.

Alison Krauss, LeAnn Rimes, and Tanya Tucker are the best female singers.

God bless you and my favorites who are still always!!!

    Holly

Go here to check out my most favorite singer James Otto!

“Don’t Stop Now” is an annoyingly basic song. It is so formulaic and not in a good way. I don’t get why people are predicting it for Grammys.

I guess it’s the same way Justin Bieber got his—crazy fangirls. They had a few good tracks as you pointed out.

I disagree. I can understand not liking the song but it is no way formulaic

God, I can flood this thread with unpopular opinions, so I’ll make a list.

The Suburbs deserved Album of the Year 100%.

Although “Come Home” was such a great song and was deserving of its win, “Exactly How I Feel” was a better performance imo.

H.E.R. is the new Alicia Keys (R&B Grammy darling).

Beyoncé is a great performer and deserves almost every nomination/win she’s gotten at the Grammys. Like I said, almostThe Lion King: The Gift was one of 2019’s worst albums imo.

Norman Fucking Rockwell! isn’t that great, but it’s overall a good album. Would still have voted it for AOTY.

    Eminem’s newer releases aren’t impressive.

ROSALÍA is the new Shakira (Latin music female sweetheart, crossover success (ain’t so great with dance moves tho)).

SOTY should’ve been (from 2011): “Need You Now,” “Rolling in the Deep,” “Adorn,” “Royals,” “Chandelier,” “Thinking Out Loud,”  “Hello,” “Despacito,” “Shallow” and “Lover.”

ROTY should’ve been: “Empire State of Mind,” “Rolling in the Deep,” “Somebody That I used to Know,” “Get Lucky,” “Chandelier,” “Really Love,” “Formation,” “HUMBLE.,” “I Like It” and “bad guy.”

AOTY: The Suburbs21BabelRandom Access MemoriesMorning PhaseTo Pimp a ButterflyLemonadeDAMN.Golden Hour and Norman Fucking Rockwell! (Personally, I’d have a tie between this and Billie’s album).

BNA: Should be discontinued. Irritated by this category.
