Kid Cudi is the most influential rapper of the late 2000s.

His style, sound, versatility and persona paved the way for Kanye’s later career as “Yeezus”.

Also, Vic Mensa, Wiz Khalifa, & Travis Scott have cited Cudi as inspiration.

    Yet he’s still incredibly underrated!

    Madonna is overrated.

Blank Space is one of the most iconic pop songs of 2010s.

Honey, don’t embarass yourself saying that someone as groundbreaking as Madonna is overrated. No one, not even Michael Jackson used mainstream art/pop music to make social and political statements like she did and managed to be as successful as she was/is.

Blank Space = THAT is overrated.

Björk at her worst is better than Radiohead at their best. She should be breaking records for most Grammys, not being paid dust by people who find more merit in that cretin Beck’s music.

    For Your Consideration:

Best Picture: Weathering With You, Parasite, The Lighthouse
Best Actor: Robert Pattison - The Lighthouse
Best Supporting Actor: Willem Dafoe - The Lighthouse
Best Animated Feature: Weathering With You, Promare
Best International Film: Weathering With You, Parasite

PANIC! at the Disco’s Pray for the Wicked album is garbage and deserves to be set on fire.

Chris Brown needs to be cancelled entirely and the fact that he still gets work is incredibly disappointed. The fact that the general public will still listen to his music is shameful and there needs to be an additional movement to end his career. The way he has treated MULTIPLE women in the industry is disgusting and people like Drake and Bieber deserve flack for defending him.

Adam Levine is a shitty human being and Maroon 5 absolutely deserves to be omitted from award show contention after Levine’s lamentations about how award shows mistreat them.

Christina Aguilera should have been bigger. Bionic was truly ahead of its time. Lotus was a pretty mediocre record, but 2010 – 2011 alone should have shot her to higher heights of fame. Had she not fucked up the National Anthem and remained skinny / touring, she would have been much more prominent.

Britney Spears needs to stop performing. Her dancing hasn’t been the same since the early 2000s.

Demi Lovato should be bigger. Her vocals are incredible. Her lack of a filter just keeps her fame from progressing to the levels of the other ex-acts. Give Your Heart a Break was an underappreciated bop.

Shawn Mendes is a truly awful singer that blatantly uses auto-tune and gimmicky vocals.

Normani > Camila. The disparity in talent is insane.

Charlie Puth ruins literally any record he is involved with. The “Easier” remix is almost unlistenable.

Billie Eilish was cool for a hot second, but she really does not sing. It’s the most gimmicked approach to creating vocals and her interviews seem to force the “tortured teenager” image to such an extreme. I understand that she has mentioned to have struggled with depression, but it seems like she overemphasizes a depressed persona and uses certain phrases to attempt to convey an underlying component that isn’t truly there.

Anne Marie and Zara Larsson deserve to be bigger. I would say the same about Mabel, but she can’t sing live.

I have to ask: why do you think that? I’m a superfan of them and this isn’t the first time I heard someone say that they didn’t like it….most of them becuase they thought it was too “Pop-ish”

He’s right though, she is overrated. Not a good singer, not a great dancer, not a good musician. She co wrote some decent lyrics once upon a time yes, but that’s all. She was never great at anything. And she wasn’t original or groundbreaking when she just took ideas from underground. She really is the perfect example of white mediocrity. Back then it was celebrated, but in 2019, as seen by even Taylor Swfit struggling with the media (and as much as I hate her, even she is more musically talented than Madonna), white mediocrity is not as tolerated anymore. People are woke now. It’s why she isn’t worshiped anymore. She is seen as a joke. Her music isn’t streamed as much as her peers, and youtube views are low, etc. She released an album and no one cared. It may have went #1 thanks to old white gays outside of that it was a non event. Someone like Madonna isn’t needed anymore when you have someone like Beyonce who can sing 1000x better, perform/dance 1000x better and even her music is more acclaimed.

Normani deserves superstar status. She’s a much better dancer and performer than Camila Casserole!

However, she lacks a musical identity and a distinct persona.

There are a million girls who can sing & dance. So Normani has to stand out musically. Talent will only take you so far. The material matters just as much.

There music seems to be gearing towards an audience of white suburban mothers in how “radio-friendly” it has become. Brendon Urie’s voice has always bothered me, but it really has gotten bad with their recent singles. The album itself is also fairly lackluster when you look at their previous work.

Also, Normani needs to learn to sing better live. I have yet to see an impressive vocal performance from her live

    Agreed

Lady Gaga has been the most influential and important pop artist of the decade. Say what you want about her (and I often do), but her music helped shape the 2010s pop landscape.

Wildest Dreams is Taylor Swift’s best song by far.

    Maggie Rogers > Billie Eilish.
