After Hours isn’t so good and doesn’t deserve to win AOTY

Chromatica: Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album.

Rain On Me: Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best Music Video.

Fetch the Bolt Cutters deserves, but a Black artist deserves a win. Abel or Roddy are the two.

    FYC:
AOTY: Fetch the Bolt Cutters or After Hours
ROTY & SOTY: Blinding Lights & Don’t Start Now
BNA: Megan Thee Stallion or Rina Sawayama
    Rap Album: RTJ4
    Country Album: Gaslighter
    Americana Album: Reunions
    Pop Album: SAWAYAMA
    Rock Album: The New Abnormal
    R&B Performance: Do It

Leona Lewis is a phenomenal singer but a rather bland artist. She has 0 personality, charisma, or soul.

The UK girls typically come and go: Leona, Estelle, Duffy, Jessie J, Rita Ora, Alexandra Burke, whew…flash in the pans.

Adele is the only one who survived 😉

Honey, I’d prefer a Roddy Ricch win in AOTY over The Weeknd.  The thought of The Weeknd winning AOTY before Kendrick Lamar.  YUCK!

We haven’t seen Dua’s longevity, but so far it seems like she’s doing well

Kid Cudi’s “Day N’ Nite” should’ve won at least one, if not both, of the Grammys in the Rap Field it was nominated for. In fact, I would’ve considered it for a ROTY and/or SOTY nod.

Kid Cudi is one of the most influential artists of his generation. His music literally saved lives and made young people confront their mental health issues.

Kanye, Wiz, Wayne, & Vic definitely bit off his style.

In my opinion, the most offensive of all U2’s dubious Grammy wins is their Rock Song and Performance wins for the lame-ass “Vertigo” which beat far superior tunes such as Green Day’s “American Idiot”, Modest Mouse’s “Float On”, The Killers’ “Somebody Told Me” and the somehow un-nominated”Take Me Out” by Franz Ferdinand.

Somebody Told Me losing it’s Grammy nominations is a travesty. That song is phenomenal.

That or American Idiot would be my choice for both categories. I’d split the awards between both songs. “Vertigo” is almost as bad a choice for Best Rock Song as Creed was(that award, by the way, should’ve gone to either”Kryptonite” by 3 Doors Down or “Californication” by Red Hot Chili Peppers).
