Taylor Swift deserved both AOTY wins.

She was the biggest album sure both times, but again To Pimp A Butterfly was right there!

Get real!  Taylor Swift did NOT deserve both of her Album of the Year wins.  There is no fucking way Swift deserved it over Kendrick Lamar.

People here think the Grammy’s are all important to artists. I highly doubt artists change their release schedules to better their Grammy chances. Success is much more important.

Some do though. I remember Demi Lovato stating that she was releasing Tell Me You Love Me a week earlier so that it could compete in that Grammy year (something that completely backfired, btw). Also some other artists like Taylor Swift and Beyoncé definitely care(d?) a little too much about the awards, which is fine.

Sure, but I strongly doubt people like Taylor are (currently, at least) creating and releasing within consecutive eligibility periods for the sole reason of continuing to try and get an AOTY nomination. It may be considered if the release date was already planned to be around a cut-off but to suggest that an artists entire release and promo schedule is completely centered around the Grammy’s is ridiculous

Taylor Swift is the most manufactured pop/country artist to ever exist, overrated, overawarded. I really don’t want to hate, but everything about her seems exagerated, fake, planned and formulaic, like seriously!

And your issue?  Can’t people be success driven?

Some musicians are thirsty for acclaim. But most artists care more about touring than winning awards. That’s how they make their living.

honey that song is trash, it’s a Ready For It knockoff

TIWWCHNT is so much better than Ready for It. No “BWAH BWAH BWAH” blaring in your ears every second alone makes it better. But the lyrics are more clever too.

“We Are Young” is a giant load of whiteboy garbage that has no idea what tone it’s trying to set and wastes the talents of Janelle Monae.

First of all, being white shouldn’t discount the quality of your music. Second of all, I’m not even sure what that second complaint is. Plenty of songs like this have disguised dark subject material with hally lyrics. Almost every song from the 50’s to the 70’s did it. Somebody That I Used to Know did it just that same fucking year. Third, We Are Young is great, and has some of the best songwriting imof the 2010’s. “My friend’s are in the bathroom getting higher than the empire state” is still an iconic line.

Stream After Hours and In Your Eyes (Remix)

And yeah, I guess Janelle Money was a bit wasted (I didn’t even know it was her until recently) but this was her breakout song, to be fair. Kind of like Bruno Mars in Nothin On You, or Rihanna in Live Your Life.

Honey, Taylor Swift is a terrible songwriter as evidenced by “Shake It Off,” “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” “Look What You Made Me Do” among others.  BARF!  A 15-year-old can write better lyrics.
