First, they’re not all American. What’s with this Americacentrism? Not everyone cares about any little thing that’s happening over there (obviously with “little thing” I don’t mean the shooting of black people and serious things like that).
Famous people are equally not forced to speak out about anything at all that isn’t linked to their job stuff. If they wanna speak about social or political stuff they can do it. If they don’t want to because it’s not their job or focus that should be respected. Doesn’t mean they don’t care.Also, with the way the public gets offended about any silly thing these days people are wise to stay silent. There’s always someone who needs to be an idiot and get offended about something irrelevant.
The ones who are vocal mainly are to look good. Let’s not kid ourselves that they’re spending their time worrying about some poor guy shot that they didn’t even know… For example. They “care” so long as the topic is hot and can get them good publicity then they move on.

She has no musical input in her hits … they were hits because the songs were good and the producers did a great job. A lot of the songs she’s rejected have gone on to become hits with other artists which just proves she has no impact on those hits whatsoever. She’s overrated af.

rather Olivia will bring bedroom pop to the mainstream with moody atmospheric instrumentals. She has an amazing voice and deserves some Grammys.

Adele is so beloved by the public and the Grammys it’d be astonishing to see her snubbed to be honest. The way I see it, if she makes it into a category, she’s pretty much guaranteed to win it.
If Taylor wins folklore this year and Adele the next, then AOTY winners would look like this

Veteran act finally got it? They just awarded them to make up for former snubs Undeserved now!
A top selling superstar wins? Save choice, trash, white mediocrity, bland music…
An unknown artist wins? A nobody won, used industry connections,…
ReplyCopy URLThe practice of releasing ten versions of the same song to increase sales/exposure is annoying and makes the music feel “cheap”. I like the idea of each track being unique and the best version of itself, curated as much as possible before being released. I understand this is a feature of the streaming era but it still gives me the impression of something rushed through and used and re-used to make money.
