An artist plans to work his entire life with dedication in the music business, releasing at least 15 albums. The first 3 albums after 6 years rake in the following certifications 8 times platinum, 8 times platinum, 10 times platinum…

 

My unpopular opinion: There is absolutely nothing the artist can do to be not called a flop on online forums/Twitter in the future. He or she can do whatever they want musically/artistically/promotional… but in the end some of the future 12 records will be called a FLOP.

I hate that winners for the Grammys are often determined by campaigns moreso than the actual art itself. For example, 1989 winning over TPAB solely because of the insane oversaturation and literal Oscars-level campaign happening shouldn’t have happened. It takes away from any minutia of legitimacy that the Grammys have left when I can’t tell if an album wins AOTY or a song wins SOTY because it was considered to actually be the best of the line up, or if it was because an artist could just payola their way through.

Secondly, I really do not think that people have been harsh enough with Dua Lipa’s pandemic traveling despite having the nerve to tell people to stay at home. Future Nostalgia still is a 10/10 album though!

Despite people always say superstars are super busy and have better things to do with their time, going by how active some are on social media every day, at least one A-list superstar reads the main Grammy conversation here on Goldderby.

Specially those LGBTQ supporting C or D list artists are worshipped on Twitter like they are actual music legends, despite no sales/chart hits/touring power/memorable performances/awards and critics also don‘t care.
