I def thought he should’ve submitted Part 1 to Pop and Part II to R&B. And then if he wanted to do The Complete Collection to Album of the Year but I think that wouldn’t be fair because only version of an album is eligible right? Either way he was never winning in the GF since he was blocked. Even though Mirrors deserved Pop Solo over Royals. And Also he deserved Pop Album because that Bruno album is Trash. Trash then and still trash now.

I’m not sure on how the eligibility would’ve worked out but I don’t think it’s ilogical to submit The Completr Edition to AOTY. If not then Part I since it was the bigger album.

I agree Mirrors was severely robbed of a Grammy. I would’ve given Lorde PVA, though I enjoy the Timberlake album as well.

I mean the Grammys with the R&B and pop categories that a small # of nominees won’t be white or black respectively. All the black nominees and Post Malone (who literally has borrowed from predominately Black sounds) last year didn’t get in pop vocal. Post Malone had the biggest album of the year, you cannot say that was worthy of a pop nomination. All of the biggest pop nominees have been nominated for Pop Vocal in the past 10 years (WWAFAWDWG, reputation, divide, 25, 1989, the 20/20 experience, 21 (x2), and My World Part 2. [The Fame competed in Dance/Electronic Album]). Post Malone deserved to at least be nominated for biggest pop release of the eligibility period. The Weeknd also deserved to be nominated, at least over Justin Bieber. After Hours had blinding lights, one of the biggest pop songs now, literally ever. Hot Pink by Doja Cat was bigger than Chromatica and Future Nostalgia, but was passed up for what? Are y’all seeing the trend again?

    RIP SOPHIE

Positions wouldn’t be out of place in Progressive R&B given that albums like Starboy and Cuz I Love You were submitted there. However the R&B panel is pretty wild and IDEK if the screening panel would accept that into the genre. I would love to see her try submitting a song or two to R&B though. “My Hair” would fit into Traditional R&B, while she could try “West Side”, “Nasty” or “Off The Table” in R&B Perf/Song (who knows, maybe R&B voters could want to nominate it due to the whole Weeknd scandal). That said, again, the R&B panel is pretty wild and I don’t see then going for her. The last pop star who got a nom in R&B was Timberlake, and he might’ve had more cred due to Timbaland.

The audience wants a my hair submission!
