Videos Better Than The Actual Music Video

Here’s a randomly unique topic I thought of. When are instances when you’ve seen a homemade music video of a song on YouTube or elsewhere that turned out to be better than the song’s actual music video? For me, one such example is “Caribbean Blue” by Enya.

The original music video for the song features a young boy looking at a book of paintings that come to life. It’s a cute, unique concept. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4w4aKsWzkI

However, looking at this homemade music video in which someone compiled a bunch of footage from a BBC documentary about the Caribbean, I honestly think it’s even better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yRgiXh2fP4

Sorry to hijack the thread, but there are a couple of lyric videos that came to mind from the title.  It seems that the people agree, as they have far more views than the official videos.  The “Closer” lyric video has seven times as many views as the music video.  The “Body” lyric video has eleven times as many views as the music video.
