For some obscure reasons, I’ve always, always loved the cover of Millions Now Living Will Never Die by Tortoise – which is also one of my favorite albums. I also adore Rubycon, by Tangerine Dream – for much less obscure reasons; it’s just that beautiful.
But my favorite will (probably) always be that lone wave, in the middle of nothing else but the sea, which introduced me to Nowhere, Ride. What an unforgettable image.

Nas first four album covers telling the story of him going from Boy to Man to King to Prophet are incredible. Also his artwork for Untitled, Nasir, and King’s Disease are amongst my favorites.

 

Jay-Z’s cover for The Blueprint is iconic

 

 

Kanye’s Graduation cover art is amazing

 

Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp A Butterfly cover art is extremely topical of the recent times we live in as African Americans
