Ultimate snub for me is probably Portugal. The Man’s “Feel It Still” for ROTY. It definitely had a solid chance without a panel too, which makes it even worse.

Rihanna’s We Found Love is definitely a ROTY snub. Columbia Records also made the mistake by submitting Beyonce’s Halo for ROTY instead of Single Ladies. She could’ve taken both SOTY and ROTY that year.

I still believe that 8 nominees was the best thing that happened to the GF. There is too much talent across all the genres to limit it to 5 nominees.

    Lady Gaga:

    1. Bad Romance – ROTY/SOTY 2011
    2. Born This Way – ROTY 2012 & Edge of Glory – SOTY 2012
    3. Million Reasons – SOTY 2018
    4. Rain On Me – ROTY 2021

    Britney Spears:

    1.  Baby One More Time – ROTY 2000
    2. Oops I Did It Again – ROTY 2001
    3. Toxic – ROTY 2005 & Everytime – SOTY 2005
    4. Womanizer – ROTY 2010

    Rihanna:

    1.  Take a Bow – ROTY 2009
    2. We Found Love – ROTY 2013 (would have won imo)
    3. Needed Me – SOTY 2017
    4. Diamonds – ROTY 2014

    Beyonce:

    1. ROTY & SOTY 2015 for Drunk in Love

Bad Romance and Rain On Me were both truly upsetting. They won their straight vote awards and would’ve had a chance in ROTY if nominated.
