Madonna has been woefully underrepresented in these categories…. She should’ve gotten noms for the following at the very least:

    Record of the Year:
    Papa Don’t Preach
    Like a Prayer
    Vogue
    Take a Bow
    Hung Up

    Song of the Year
    Like a Prayer
    Take a Bow
    Frozen

Bad Romance and Rain On Me were both truly upsetting. They won their straight vote awards and would’ve had a chance in ROTY if nominated.

Bad Romance for sure. That song is her signature anthem. Rain On Me was basic.

    FYC: Grammys 2022

    ALBUM OF THE YEAR
    evermore - Taylor Swift
    SOUR - Olivia Rodrigo
El Último Tour Del Mundo - Bad Bunny
    Starting Over - Chris Stapleton
    positions - Ariana Grande
    Daddy’s Home - St Vincent

I still believe that 8 nominees was the best thing that happened to the GF. There is too much talent across all the genres to limit it to 5 nominees.

    Lady Gaga:

    1. Bad Romance – ROTY/SOTY 2011
    2. Born This Way – ROTY 2012 & Edge of Glory – SOTY 2012
    3. Million Reasons – SOTY 2018
    4. Rain On Me – ROTY 2021

    Britney Spears:

    1. Baby One More Time – ROTY 2000
    2. Oops I Did It Again – ROTY 2001
    3. Toxic – ROTY 2005 & Everytime – SOTY 2005
    4. Womanizer – ROTY 2010

    Rihanna:

    1. Take a Bow – ROTY 2009
    2. We Found Love – ROTY 2013 (would have won imo)
    3. Needed Me – SOTY 2017
    4. Diamonds – ROTY 2014

    Beyonce:

    1. ROTY & SOTY 2015 for Drunk in Love

Let’s never forget how Interscope decided to submit Judas and You & I instead of BTW and TEOG for the 2012 ceremony, one of the worst cases of horrible submissions I have ever seen.

Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” should have won ROTY and SOTY. Timeless hit.

    Some of my choices:

“Shameika”-Fiona Apple (ROTY & SOTY, should have been nominated for AOTY too)
“Hips Don’t Lie”-Shakira (ROTY-big song that year and to not be nominated in a major category was odd)
“Un-Break My Heart”-Toni Braxton (ROTY & SOTY-they nominated a lot of ballads in the 90’s, surprised this one didn’t)
“Respect”-Aretha Franklin (surprised with her legend status never nominated in the general field-ROTY & SOTY)
“Rhythm Nation” & “That’s the Way Love Goes”-Janet Jackson (ROTY)
    “Work It”-Missy Elliott
    “Love Shack”-The B-52s

Every song that lyrics and production are actually excellent. We know that the jury has no taste.

"The Lost Daughter" in every eligible category - Film
"Succession" Season 3 in every eligible category - TV
"Heaux Tales" by Jasmine Sullivan in every eligible category - Music

    Others…

Brian McKnight – “Back at One”
    Mariah Carey – “Hero”
Shaggy – “It Wasn’t Me” or “Angel” (he was huge that year!)
The Fray – “How to Save A Life”
Nelly Furtado – “Say it Right”
Sisqo – “The Thong Song” (scandalous but a HUGE hit and nom’d for R&B Song & Performance awards that year!)
    Ne-Yo – “So Sick” (SOTY)
Jessie J, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj – “Bang Bang”
    Avicii – “Wake Me Up”
The Chainsmokers & Halsey – “Closer”
Miley Cyrus – “We Can’t Stop”

    They did That on purpose
What was the point on getting her in two more nominations for Adele to Beat her? She was mocked a lot that night for losing 3, imagine losing 5 and 4 of those being televised

Well, just look at Bruno Mars that night, It was painful to watch

Her team was doing damage control
