Where to begin, um…
You can’t talk about the greatest singers of all time without talking about Aretha Franklin. Every artist of all time anywhere YEARNS to become her. She’s a force to be reckoned with. Freddie Mercury was a vocalist who embodied the theatrical rock of the 70’s and Queen would not be the same without him. Michael Jackson could dance his heart out and hit every single note perfectly.
But when you’re talking about the greatest singers, you also gotta take into account how this singer influenced the genre. John Lennon and Kurt Cobain represented the generations. Whether it be peace, love and flower power, or hazy, flannel grunge. David Bowie’s voice complimented the weird and peculiar songs he was singing.
There’s too many to count.June 23, 2017 at 2:09 pm #1202131605
Although I like many more singers these three are the ones that I like all the songs.June 23, 2017 at 2:31 pm #1202131621
Paul McCartneyJune 23, 2017 at 3:03 pm #1202131643
I’ll add a name that is usually forgotten, for the simple reason that this man belongs to a band that is already extraordinary for so many other reasons: Thom Yorke.June 23, 2017 at 3:33 pm #1202131657
Eddie VedderJune 23, 2017 at 3:43 pm #1202131661
Too many to count or name at once. Prince, Adele, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Frank Sinatra, Edith Piaf, The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Janis Joplin, David Bowie, Kurt Cobain, Freddie Mercury and Amy Winehouse, to name a few.Marcus Snowden (The Artist Formerly Known as msnowden1)ParticipantJune 23, 2017 at 8:14 pm #1202131764

I’ll add a name that’s usually forgotten, Tammy Wynette. Not only did she have the voice of an angel and in her prime one of the most powerful belts but her enunciation of certain words and syllables was something unique to the time and is something that you can hear in all genres of music to this day.June 29, 2017 at 5:05 pm #1202136957
