There are plenty of people who haven’t been in the GF…… and made it . There’s countless of names. HER is probably the most surprising.

This album tend be her most interesting among people and this is the most she’s been recognized for in general. It generated a hype around the acclaim its been given. I definitely see her chances at a good state.

Mariah is not underhyped…. her biggest bet is R&B Album that’s all .

I agree with Robyn tho. I feel as she could be a secret contender for AOTY.

Overhyping: Beyoncé, Solange, Lil Nas X, and Taylor Swift

Underhyping: I don’t think anyone obvious is being underlooked.

Saying TAYLOR!!! is being overhyped on these forums is genuinely wack0-insane-delusional. A handful of Swifties predicting her, in comparison to the legions of people writing dissertations on why rep’s underperformance last year means she’s dead to the Grammy’s, is nothing. I won’t go as far as saying she’s being underhyped, as I truly have no idea how she’ll perform come nominations, but patting yourself on the back for thinking that you’re in the minority for not predicting Taylor is such a joke.

She is #5 in overall site odds for AOTY, #8 in ROTY, and #5 in SOTY.

That’s not a “handful of Swifties,” that’s a consensus agreement. So I stand by saying that she’s being massively overhyped.

I assumed the “we” in the original post is active posters on this forum. If we’re including anyone who’s making predictions then sure, she’s being overhyped.

delusional swifties grab back! women grab back!

    Overhyped

Billie Eilish- She’s a strong contender but she’s new and I’m not as confident as some others that she’ll be the super obvious choice between her, Gaga, Ariana and co. I doubt she’ll sweep like everyone says she will; It’s just not realistic and I say that as a casual fan of her.

Khalid- He’s had a good year but I don’t feel like he has a ton of real respect in the industry.

Gary Clark Jr.-I’m not sure how he’s the obvious dark horse. Not saying that he won’t happen but I wouldn’t be shocked with either outcome

    Underhyped

Beyonce- The fields are open enough for her to score multiple noms, especially considering how acclaimed Homecoming is.

Rosalia- the Grammys might show taste for once. She has a lot of industry hype surrounding her

Carly Rae Jepsen- Acclaimed album, accessible sound, cult following. Could see her sneak a nom or two considering how her place in the industry has grown a bit.

Robyn- Industry veteran with a hugely acclaimed album. Now might be her time (finally/hopefully)

I think Pink is being underhyped. Her previous two albums have managed to get nominated for Pop Vocal Album, wouldn’t count her out entirely. Also, I think Mariah is being underhyped as well and could see her getting a 50/50 chance at a nomination and hoping she can breakthrough next week.

I think Halsey/Without Me is being under hyped. It solidified Halsey as a star, it’s well-written, it’s about a celebrity breakup, and it samples a major aughts hit of the same topic. It also stayed on the Hot 100 for an entire year. To me, it’s one of the most competitive pop songs in contention, yet people have it missing the general field and even pop solo.
