Several people snubbed in the gf had a great night last night which makes me wonder who was 11th in AOTY.
Was it previous AOTY nominees Foo Fighters who swept rock?
Previous AOTY nominee Chris Stapleton who swept country?
2x Rap Album winner Tyler The Creator who beat AOTY nominee Kanye West
2x grammy winner Jazmine Sullivan who both tied the ROTY/SOTY winner and beat the AOTY winner?
Or was it someone else?

April 4, 2022 at 6:54 am #1204903300Foo Fighters, but I do think Jazmine could’ve been close. Hip hop also probably gave her some votes. Stapleton mus have been close too with Americana on his side.

ReplyCopy URLApril 4, 2022 at 7:05 am #1204903320The order I think:
11. Foo Fighters

12. Chris Stapleton
13. Jazmine SullivanApril 4, 2022 at 7:39 am #1204903368i’m going to say that those 4 plus ariana were the top 15. chris and foo fighters were probably closest though i’m on the fence about jazmine
ReplyCopy URLApril 4, 2022 at 7:41 am #1204903370I don’t know if everyone else have heard that Jon Batiste secretly married his GF earlier this year after she was diagnosed with Leukaemia for the second time. Lovely guy.
ReplyCopy URLApril 4, 2022 at 8:11 am #1204903410Jazmine’s situation is merely the fact that most R&B voters went for her out of passion. Doubt she was #11, maybe top 20. She could have easily benefited from a BRP. I think Jon Batiste would have still won if she was nominated – a Taylor/Dua-type situation.
Foo Fighters and Chris Stapleton seem like they could have been close, since they are previous nominees and swept their fields.
ReplyCopy URLApril 4, 2022 at 8:51 am #1204903489Honey, the delusional Gucci wants to say Jazmine Sullivan was in 11th place for AOTY. However, it was probably Drake or Foo Fighters.
ReplyCopy URLApril 4, 2022 at 8:56 am #1204903497Get real! Ariana Grande was NOT in 11th place or top 15 for Album of the Year. The delusion is out of control.
ReplyCopy URLApril 4, 2022 at 3:46 pm #1204904083Tyler wasn’t even the most voted in Best Rap Album during the first voting round. He was definitely behind Kanye & Drake, and I dare to say J. Cole was also ahead of him. He won because voters whose favorite albums didn’t make the cut knew his record was obviously the best one amongst the top 4.
Drake was the next rapper in line for AOTY, and he was probably in the top 15 with Foo Fighters & Chris Stapleton.
CeCe Winans swept but I doubt that the Gospel panel is big enough to support her in the General Field.
But I wouldn’t be surprised if the late Chick Corea was in the top 20-30-ish in AOTY…
I see people mentioning Jazmine Sullivan, Tyler The Creator and Ariana Grande. They do have genre support but it doesn’t translate to the main categories.
I wonder if Kacey Musgraves was too far behind Chris Stapleton…
ReplyCopy URLApril 4, 2022 at 4:39 pm #1204904149I think Foo Fighters, Drake, Chris Stapleton, Kacey Musgraves and Megan Thee Stallion were TOP 15.

same here. id say megan could’ve been close top 15 but she didn’t get a genre nom for the album
ReplyCopy URLApril 4, 2022 at 7:09 pm #1204904347Like many have mentioned already, Foo Fighters. If they were nominated for AOTY, do you think they would have won over the likes of Jon Batiste or Tony Bennett/Lady Gaga? Thoughts?
