How is “Set Fire to the Rain” an exception?, it was a no.1 hit the in 2012, finished at #12 on year end and sold 4m downloads in the US by the time of the 2013 Grammys

“Call Me Maybe” was a much bigger hit, but “Set Fire to the Rain” was a very big hit, especially for a third single. It really did boil down to Adele and Kelly that year. Carly, Katy and Rihanna were just there for the ride. I knew Adele would win again. 21 was #1 for that year and the DVD was massive, too.

But Adele is Adele! She can gets votes even if she doesn’t actually deserve them. She is the ultimate Grammy magnet, always wins! They just adore her! If she would put out more music and more often she could easily get more than 40 Grammys in her career! what does that have to do with me just stating the fact that “set fire to the rain” was the only time best pop solo has gone to a song that’s not the biggest hit in the running? if you wanna fling your opinion around at least reply to a fitting post

I don’t think Ariana or Camila will get a grammy this year. One had one memorable hit and a forgettable one and the other well had a lot of hits but she ain’t seen as a real artist just a lolita who can really sing.
