I don’t know why people think the brp would shut out Harry. He would be a benign nomination in the category because he’d easily lose. I think he simply doesn’t have the support that Taylor and Dua has. Gaga is even further back because without ROM she’d only have 1 nomination. This is purely a Dua v Taylor race. I think Taylor slightly leads, but Dua is close behind.

I wouldn’t be completely surprised at a Harry  win. Now with everything that Dua and Taylor are doing I doubt it but it could happen

Harry seems to be ignoring it. He hasn’t been doing much in terms of campaigning. Which I don’t think really matters though. Fine Line is just not as strong as folklore or Future Nostalgia with the academy.

I agree, and I also don’t expect him doing anything for the grammys, I even doubt he’ll attend. I mean he literally posted like a couple days after the noms were announced he was thankful for a lot this year and wished a happy thanksgiving, no word about the grammys. campaigning from his side won’t happen.

If I believed FN could win AOTY, I would predict it to win this one as well. Since I don’t, Folklore is my prediction to win both. I believe Dua is taking ROTY/SOTY and Pop Solo. Taylor takes the Album categories and Pop Duo.

I still remember the forum saying how Folklore may miss pop vocal like Lana or Lorde or that Post Malone will get more pop votes than Dua Lipa. These two assumptions were totally wrong, because:

1. Folklore has been a huge success, whereas these albums kinda flopped, also, exile was nominated because of Folklore, voters knew the track(again buying the whole album is consumption).

2. Dua Lipa, unlike Lorde and Lana, had multiple radio singles and is actually the most successful female hot 100 artist of the year.

this I am getting so freaking tired of trying to explain this to people. It’s like they only consider what’s playing in the top 40 pop. They only consider Shellback, Max Martin, Dr Luke, Bascher productions Pop!

Taylor, if not her then Harry. Dua Lipa is disadvantaged by her album not being as successful as the other 2 and competing alongside a similar album by Lady Gaga, who is a Grammy favorite.

Out of the 28 years of this category only a handful of times has the winner had a pure pop album. 1989 most notably. Being “pure pop” does not mean you have a bigger chance here. Maybe slightly but folklore is still easily the frontrunner here because it’s the frontrunner in AOTY.
