I DONT know if anyone made a thread like this but they’re many questionable snubs in BNA from noninees to winners.
I’ll start with how Britney Spears lost while being the biggest candidate and having such a blockbuster era with BOMT but end up losing to XtinaAugust 15, 2020 at 11:15 am #1203647130

These are the Grammys, not the Billboard Awards.
Christina was not only leagues more talented than Britney, but also turned out to be the more interesting and compelling artist in the long run. That was a good call.August 15, 2020 at 12:08 pm #1203647260
Honey, voters got it right picking Christina Aguilera over Britney Spears. True talent prevailed. Macy Gray was probably runner-up.August 15, 2020 at 12:58 pm #1203647339
Lana Del Rey not even being nominated.August 15, 2020 at 1:01 pm #1203647348
Lorde and Lana Del Rey.
Also YBN Cordae should have been nominated last year.August 15, 2020 at 1:16 pm #1203647389This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.August 15, 2020 at 1:21 pm #1203647408

In the long run? Britneys career is more remembered lbr, even if she’s a nostalgia act now.August 15, 2020 at 1:34 pm #1203647446
Xtina is remembered for her hits and Britney is remembered for having a mental breakdown on live tv and shaving her head.
This is not true. Christina has no remembered song, lol. Or at least not as remembered as Baby One More Time or Toxic. She is actually not remembered at all.August 15, 2020 at 1:40 pm #1203647454
I’d say both Christina and Britney both had their hots. But Britney was the bigger star, but Christina was more talented.
Whitney HoustonAugust 15, 2020 at 1:48 pm #1203647465
Lorde was an big snub.
Was Ariana eligible for the My Everything era? I remember people predicting her but I don’t know if she was snubbed or just deemed ineligible.
Would’ve loved to see Calum Scott last year.August 15, 2020 at 2:58 pm #1203647527
Christina Winning over Britney was deserved. Britney held the Jonás Brothers, Justin Bieber, Hanson Spot. Christina is an actual talented vocalist like Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Kelly Clarkson, And Carrie Underwood. Both Brit and Xtina are iconic for their own reasons. Britney has hits and used to be a good dancer but was never a singer. Christina has some iconic hits but has faded after Back to Basics, she also has 5 more Grammys than Britney. Xtina to this day is still regarded as one of the greatest vocalist of all time, she is a very respected artist, she actually broke out from being bubble gum pop girl. Britney has iconic hits but also iconic moments for the wrong reasons (whacking the paparazzi with an umbrella, shaving her head bald, horrific VMA performance in 2007,) but still an iconic person in 90s and 00s pop culture. I loved Femme Fatale btw.
