What do you guys think of Zayn’s chances in 2022 Grammys. I think Vibez, When Love’s Around, and To Begin Again could surprise
ReplyMarch 20, 2021 at 11:28 am #1204147107zayn didn’t get a nom for waaay more successful pillowtalk/mom, so he won’t get anything for his current era after shading the grammys

March 20, 2021 at 3:24 pm #1204147536Zayn would have a better shot if he played the game (i.e. promoting, performing, campaigning etc). But his work ethic is deterred by anxiety and sheer laziness.
ReplyCopy URLMarch 20, 2021 at 11:43 pm #1204147949Lol. Zayn will be nowhere near Grammys barring a glorious comeback at some point in the future, and it’s not because he criticised the institution on social media, or because he’s too lazy to promote. He barely makes the lower end of the charts in his home country at this point, and internationally his career is in freefall. His album was critically panned as well. Getting any love from any awards bodies, let alone Grammys, is as likely as Hell freezing over.
ReplyCopy URLMarch 21, 2021 at 3:01 am #1204148052Harry will likely be the only former member of One Direction to win a Grammy. The others aren’t in any great position to be in consideration for one. There isn’t any passion from critics for Zayn’s work and his commercial power is essentially non existent at this point in his career. He gets engagement on Twitter and that’s about it, I doubt the Grammys (or any other award ceremonies) will acknowledge him

ReplyCopy URLMarch 22, 2021 at 5:59 am #1204150418Why would he be nominated for songs that didn’t chart even in bubbling under and for an album that got mediocre (BAD) reviews (63 in Metacritic) and charted for a week at 44 with 15,000 copies sold? Is this a setup thread?
There’s more chances Harry will be nominated for Fine Line again than Zayn for the aptly named Nobody Is Listening.
He’s a fad that only got (some) success thanks to other people (Pillowtalk = 1D’s breakup + Gigi, IDWLF = Taylor, DTD = Sia) and flopped irrevocably at every other chance.

I could see Niall win a Grammy in some below-the-line category some day (maybe for some Country/Americana collab or a songwriting credit somewhere).
As for Zayn, if he couldn’t get a nom with IDWLF or Pillowtalk then he’s pretty much over unless he somehow manages to come back.
ReplyCopy URLMarch 24, 2021 at 1:24 am #1204154600I wouldn’t mind “To Begin Again” getting a Grammy nod, just so Ingrid Michaelson could her long-overdue nomination.
But after he dissed the Grammys publicly…
