    1. Burstyn
    2. Fonda – 71
    3. Minnelli
    4. Keaton
    5. Jackson – 70 (flip flop between Jackson & Snodgress)
    6. Fonda – 78 (shoulda been Page or Bergman)
    7. Dunaway (shoulda been Ullmann or Spacek)
    8. Fletcher (shoulda been Adjani)
    9. Jackson – 73 (shoulda been Burstyn)
    10. Field (shoulda been Midler)

Sorry but Field’s Norma Rae performance was totally annoying to me…

Strong list, with only a couple of truly weak selections….but it is hard to rank these because most of them are on the same level for me.

    #1-Faye Dunaway
    #2-Diane Keaton
    #3-Sally Field
    #4-Louise Fletcher
    #5-Jane Fonda (Klute)
    #6-Liza Minnelli
    #7-Glenda Jackson (Women in Love)
#8-Ellen Burstyn (would’ve given it to Gena Rowlands)
#9-Jackson (Touch of Class)…(should’ve gone to Burstyn)
#10-Fonda (Coming Home)…(should’ve have gone to Bergman or Clayburgh)

Ahhh yes! Midler is my girl. She IS the Rose. And of course Burstyn and Blair should have won for The Exorcist.

I think Gena Rowlands’ performance in A Woman Under The Influence and Ingrid Bergman’s performance in Autumn Sonata are a lot better than the winners from this decade.

They are two of the most incredibly performances, ever.

My ranking, with the actresses that I would’ve pick.

    1. Dunaway – Network
    2. Minelli – Cabaret (Liv Ullman, Emigrants)
    3. Fonda – Klute
    4. Fletcher – One Flew (Isabelle Adjani, Story of Adele H.)
    5. Keaton – Annie Hall (Marsha Mason, Goodbye Girl)
    6. Fonda – Coming Home (Bergman, Autumn Sonata)
    7. Jackson – Women in Love
    8. Burstyn – Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore (Rowlands, Woman Under the Influence)
    9. Field – Norma Rae (Middler, The Rose)
    10. Jackson – A Touch of Class (Burstyn, The Exorcist)

Rowland gives the best nominated performance of the decade.

As it is my vote goes to Minnelli.

As of today i am still willing to go out on a limb
and stick to my original scenario of LINCOLN and
    SPIELBERG winning picture and director…with
DDL and possibly TLJ in the acting categories…
It is possible that Chris Terrio wins the adapted
screenplay oscar and Lincoln still wins picture.
If david o. russell wins the adapted screenplay
award, I figure that ARGO is a loser regarding
best picture….The only way ARGO can be said
at evening’s end is if it wins the adapted screenplay
    with film editing..(ala Crash)….
