    I agree with rrekydoc. I choose Spielberg (well, Other, I guess).

    Honestly, I can’t give this to Spielberg, not in a million years.  This is the decade he produced Hook and The Lost World, as well as the terribly preachy Amistad.  Also, I think Saving Private Ryan is very flawed.  1993 was an incredible year for him though.

    I think I would say Krzysztof Kieslowski.  His Three Colors Trilogy could very well be the cinematic achievement of the 1990s.  And with Double Life of Veronique, produced four significant films in only six years of the decade, passing away in 1996.

    Also, Anthony Minghella had a pretty great decade.
