Not an easy decision, but I went with Pam Grier.
I don’t know, but I felt that was such a powerful great leading role for a black actress. I’d given her the win that year easily.

You need to start making “Other” an option on your polls.

    Nicole Kidman “To Die For”
    Uma Thurman “Kill Bill”
    Jamie Lee Curtis “Freaky Friday”
Vera Farmiga “Down to the Bone”
    Cate Blanchett “Little Fish”
    Glenn Close “Heights”
Julianne Moore “The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio”
    Ellen Page “Hard Candy”
    Robin Wright “She’s So Lovely”
Cameron Diaz “There’s Something About Mary”
    Julie Andrews “Darling Lili”
    Brie Larson “Short Term 12”

Of the poll choices I would go with Pam Grier “Jackie Brown” who would have easily been my choice to win that year.

Want to watch a powerful performance that almost nobody has seen?

The “other” option is lazy. Pick one, leave a comment and move on

By the way SalantBeau, most of those performances were no where near Oscar’s radar. The only ones that came close are Nicole Kidman, To Die For and Uma Thurman, Kill Bill…but even those were too obscure for Oscar

Lol. You overflow this board with polls for people to share their opinions and then get angry when people…..share their opinions?

I didn’t know being on Oscar’s radar was a requirement for being a great performance that got snubbed.

I won’t be responding to any more of your polls.

Other people get angry at me for not including something and post a snarky comment. I’m learning that you cannot please everyone, and I’m tired of it.

The “other” option is leaving a comment in the comment bar…a list of people you thought were worthy. Not a demand that I include an “other” option

I support the people who said Bjork, may be one of the worst Oscar’s mistakes.

    Pam Grier, Jackie Brown

The crappy Oscars royally screwed her over.

    To Troy, Laactingnyc and Manuelcolon:

THANK YOU! Bjork’s performance in Dancer in the Dark still gets me to this day.

I would also agree with Ellen Page’s performance in Hard Candy, but she was never on the radar in the same way that Bjork was.
