She has already 4 Oscar nominations (almost 5 nominations if we are thinking about her ‘almost’ nomination in Enchanted) in 7 years.
Which one of her performances do you prefer?Marcus Snowden (The Artist Formerly Known as msnowden1)ParticipantApril 4, 2013 at 7:18 am #543860
Junebug hands down. Also, its her best performance IMO.April 4, 2013 at 7:27 am #543861
I think she should have four oscar nominations but her nomination for The Master is underserved while her performance is Enchanted should have been her second nomination. She should also have won for Junebug and The Fighter. I think her best is Junebug.April 4, 2013 at 9:04 am #543862
Her Junebug performance was the only one worthy of a nomination.April 4, 2013 at 11:03 am #543863

Hmm, I’d say Junebug just because the character had the most to do and way so well written. I’d say she deserved all 4 nominations though, I hope she wins next year for Abscam. And if not for that, actually gets to play Janis Joplin if they get round to doing that film, so she can slay in that; it’d be ironic if she has like 4-5 noms in supporting and yet wins in lead!April 4, 2013 at 3:31 pm #543865
I’ll vote for any of her performances twice before I vote for her work in that horrid mess of a film that was Junebug.April 4, 2013 at 4:51 pm #543866
JUNEBUGApril 4, 2013 at 6:41 pm #543867
in that orderApril 4, 2013 at 7:11 pm #543868
From this list I would say Junebug and Fighter in that order. She had absolutely no business being nominated for Doubt (She was more Co-Lead in that film.) and I could name 10 other performances that were far more worthier than her spot in The Master.
I think I liked Adams best in Enchanted (Didn’t like the film though) and the Muppets.April 4, 2013 at 7:52 pm #543869
2. The Master
4. The FighterApril 4, 2013 at 7:57 pm #543870
Junebug is by far her best performance and Doubt her weakest.April 4, 2013 at 9:50 pm #543871

You mean the spot Jacki Weaver took from everyone else.April 4, 2013 at 10:04 pm #543872
I enjoyed her in “Doubt”. She was pretty much my 2nd that year after Penélope Cruz.
Her best performance was in “Junebug” for sure.
My five favourite performances by her:
3. “Sunshine Cleaning”
5. “Julie & Julia”April 4, 2013 at 10:08 pm #543873

Yeah Jacki Weaver’s nomination is one of the worst nominations in the last couple years.
