I believe this is one of the most desperate things I have ever seen, and I’ve been on Grindr. There are so many other categories that could have been made; Cast Ensemble/Casting, 5 Makeup nominees, Stunt Co-Ordination, Choreography.

Anyway vote as you think fitting.

    Most Popular Film

Excuse me, the name of the category is “Outstanding Achievement in Popular Film”.  Oh, if only I were joking.

The Oscars need to evolve from their current primitive period-drama addict state. Do Darkest Hour, The Theory of Everything and Selma need best Picture nominations more than say, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, Gone Girl, Logan, It, and Wonder Woman? No way! I hate that I am the one pointing this out, but the films that deserve the most recognition are the ones that are the most culturally relevant and impactful on a level of zeitgeist-igniting popularity, whether they be successful with the Oscars in their current state (Titanic) or not (The Lego Movie).

Lol Selma was way better than Darkest Hour or The Theory of Everything.

When you realise the Oscars now have less respect than the Golden Globes

FYC Gold Derby TV Awards: Michelle Dockery - Movie/Limited Series Actress. Claire Foy - Performer of the Year.
